“An Assessment of the Factors That Influence Teachers' Use of Technology for

Instructional Purposes”
 STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM:
This study aims to assess the different factors that influence teachers' use of
technology for instructional purposes. Specifically, it seeks answers to the following:
1. What is the profile of the teachers in terms of:
1.1 age;
1.2 gender;
1.3 educational attainments;
1.4 years of teaching;
1.5 number of subject/s taught;
1.6 computer application in teaching;
1.7 computer trainings attended;
1.8 ownership of computer; and
1.9 technology resources
2. How may the computer competencies of teacher respondents be described in
terms of:
2.1 General Computer Operations;
2.2 Communication and Internet;
2.3 Word Processing;
2.4 Spreadsheets;
2.5 Graphics;
2.1 Technology Operations and Concepts; and
2.2 Pedagogy
3. What ICT training programs can be proposed to motivate respondents to integrate
use of technology for instructional purposes?
