Dear Seventh Grade Parents/Guardians,

I am excited to introduce myself as your child’s seventh grade mathematics teacher. First, let
me tell you a little about myself. San Antonio is where I was born and raised. I graduated from
the University of Texas at San Antonio with a Bachelor of Business Administration in
Accounting. I am married with two beautiful kids.

This year your child will learn about geometry, algebra, probabilities, analyzing data and how to
problem solve using real life scenarios. The year will be packed with learning mathematical
skills through activities and practice. Students will often have homework assignments and will
be expected to turn in their assignments. Practicing mathematics is essential for academic
success.

It is imperative that students come to class prepared. At the start of class the students need to
have their homework placed on their desk, get out needed supplies and read the objective of the
day. During the last few minutes of class, the students and I will review the key points for the
day and go over any questions they may have about their homework.
