Self-Evaluation
During this year I have learned many of things when it comes to writing, grammar and
different writing styles, even if I'm still not comprehending the material as I should be. The
elements that I will be watching out for in the near and far future when it comes to writing,
editing, and an essay are split between the intro, body, and conclusion paragraphs.
The elements of a beginning (Intro) paragraph that I will watch out for are the thesis
statement, and topic statement. These two I struggle with on the college application narrative
(CAN). In this essay I had trouble with making a thesis statement that was sufficient enough, It
was short also didn’t make my sense. With the topic sentence it was something I couldn’t follow
along with at times and verge of topic in the middle of the essay a lot.
Next the body paragraph will be focused on transitions words, evidence, analysis, I was
something I didn’t do well in the college application narrative, the literary criticism, and the
synthesis essay. The benefits of having all of these under check will greatly boost my writing
capabilities. Transitions so that it flows well, evidence that greatly support my claim, and
my position. With these elements it will cement my position on the matter or claim of the essay.
The summary will sum up everything that needs to be summed up, making sure they know all the
main point of each paragraph, reaffirming my position on where I stand so people know what
side I'm writing from and to make sure they won't get confused about which side I support.
Last there are other points I need to focus on like punctuations and the style of the essay.
These will make the essay more eligible and show proper grammar. With all of these elements in
each part of an essay it builds a good writing piece. The three body paragraphs have elements
that will help nut these are the ones that I look at too reassure me when I write so I know that I
