Instructions for preparing, cleaning and washing of dusters:

Preparation: When you receive your duster, it will be in a plastic cover and may not appear full with
feathers. In order to get a full duster, please use your hairdryer on the lowest heat and blowdry it for a
few minutes - the feathers will ruffle up and your duster will appear full. Alternatively, you can heat up
some water and wave the duster in the hot steam - this procedure would yield the same result.
Cleaning: Take your duster outside and close doors and windows behind you. With your back against
the wind and the feathers away from you, hold the duster between your hands and swivel it as if you
wish to warm up your hands. With this method, the dust/dirt will easily come off the duster. The more
energy you use, the cleaner the duster will get.
Washing: Do you think, your duster is dirty and needs a rinse? Rinsing the duster in water is usually not
necessary – you would have no other alternative, if the duster took some mud, jam or other greasy fluids
(don’t worry, rinsing the duster will not damage the feathers)! Pour warm and clear water in a sink, add
washing-up liquid or babyshampoo and rinse off dirt and grease. Wash the duster with clear water and
press the water off (please without damaging the feathers or pulling them off the handle). Finally use your
hairdryer to dry and ruffle up.
