1. Hiding from the audience: If you wanna make a conection with your
audience the first and most effective way is to make eye contact.
2. Reading from your notes: It´s usually okay to use them if you need notes.
3. Offending your audience: Once you´ve established a connection with
your eyes is important to build on that with your words be careful to avoid
alienating or offending your audience
4. Not knowing your audience: Part of your job as speaker is to learn a little
about them
5. Obscuring your message: Try to avoid beraring your message under
technical jargón industry acronyms complex words or even a lot of
difficult statistics unless you are sure that your audience is interesed and

Answer the following questions:
By showing others that you’re human, people can relax and better
connect with you. Open up and be willing to give your audience the
chance to get to know you, the real you. Show them that you are
human just like them.
g) Summarize in your own words the author’s advice for using jokes in your
presentation.
The jokes should be fun and maintain a professional tone, but do not be
offensive. It is never good to make a joke about a group of people with
different cultures with different ideologies or even different sexual
preferences.
