I. Executive Summary

This development communication plan that has a theme “Think safe, take action”

is particularly created for Barangay Paltok in Quezon City. The said plan aims to set

awareness for the safety of everyone in the community and to be able to avoid huge

accidents and dangers. This plan has intent to have security and protection in our

Barangay, more importantly, for all families in the community. The major principle of

this plan is to have a safer place and home to the residents of Barangay Paltok.

This plan helps the people living in Barangay Paltok to be more aware, ready and

attentive on what may possibly happen. This plan also can reduce the numbers of

crimes, dangers and accidents in the Barangay. To be able for this plan to

materialize, more negotiations and discussions is a must. The given strategies and

events may also help the Barangay Officials to have the cooperation and response

of the community.

The total budget that is needed for this plan is 6,961,300 pesos. The funds for

this development communication plan will be used in foods for staff and attendees,

campaign materials, freebies and the items needed for fixing the electrical cables

and wires.

II. Situational Analysis

One of the main problems in Barangay Paltok is the tangled and loose electric

wires. I would like to propose this plan to the Barangay officials to implement the

safety regulations and give solutions to the said problem. Tangled wires may cause

burnt out streetlights, hazardous fire, exploding of transformers, illegal or jumper

connections and power pilferages.

In order for this plan to work more effectively, the Barangay Paltok officials will

have responsibilities of the wires and cables on Meralco to fix the tangled and loose

electrical wires. This process of repair is critical for the effective function of the

electrical wires and ease of use and maintenance while also taking into

consideration costs and production. Over and above the physical cable

considerations, Electrical Engineers can design, manufacture or source the required

ties, wires, clamps and connectors suitable for the environment.

The purpose of this plan is to help the community to have a better shelter and to

keep away the community from harm’s way, avoid dangers, provide safeties and

give peaceful living in the community.
