MUIDS Vichakarn Day Draft Proposal

February 21st, 2018 7:30-4:00pm

● 7:30 am – 7:45 am:
o Prior to Vichakarn Day all students will be divided into house camps. These camps
will be based on houses and participation in Science Fair/Market/Student Booths
o Each camp chooses a student captain.
o All students report to their base camps for attendance
▪ Students who miss homeroom must sign in with student services.
▪ Students absent from school receive absences in all their classes.

● 7:45am -8:25 am:

o Science Fair/Market/Student Booths camps proceed to the ground floor where they
have 45 minutes to set up their Science Fair table or their Student Market stand
o All other camps remain in their rooms and create banners, flags etc. for their
houses.
● 8:25 am
o House Phoenix Camps proceed to the ground floor
● 8:30 am
o House Olympian Camps proceed to the ground floor
● 8:35 am
o House Berserker Camps proceed to the ground floor
● 8:40 am
o House Titan Camps proceed to the ground floor
● 8:45 am- 9:00 am
o Director’s opening speech and opening ceremony by the Science Department
● 9:00 am – 11:00 am

o Exhibition and Judging of the Student’s Science Fair Project

o Student Market begins selling products.
o Judging for Science Fair. Each group is given 2 set times for judging. One for prize
judges (group of 5) and one for science grade (science teacher only).
 o Students must have one person at science fair table at all times. However, when not
being judged, students may leave table to look at other projects and buy products
from market.
o All classrooms locked at this time to encourage student and staff involvement.
o Students will participate in Student Booths for stamps.
o Camps will have a rotation schedule to move between the three stations.
o Stations include:
▪ Science Fair (students must ask questions and get stamps from a number of
projects)
▪ Student Market area - field
▪ Student booth - outdoor basketball court (created by gr12 homerooms) -
stamps
● 11:00am – 11:15am
o Students proceed to the stage for the Thai Fashion Show
● 11:15am – 12:20am
o Lunch and Cleanup (market)
▪ Science Fair can be left there for display to be clean up later
o Students are free to eat in the canteen or watch the Fashion show.
● 12:20 pm – 12:30 pm
o All houses report to their first department station and teachers take attendance.
● 12:30 pm – 2:15 pm
o Teams rotate through the stations every 15 minutes
o Station leaders will keep track of total points

● 2:15pm
o All House camps report to the auditorium for House Quiz Bowl Jeopardy
● 2:30 pm – 3:15 pm :
o House Quiz Bowl Jeopardy Competition in the Auditorium (Led by the Student
Government Team)
● 3:20 pm – 4:00 pm: (also in the auditorium)
o Awards for all activity in Vichakarn day including
▪ Thai Fashion Show Awards
▪ Science Fair Awards
▪ Student-Market
▪ IT Awards
▪ House Winner for Academic Day!
o Closing ceremony by the director
