Strengths of the lesson:


Nice opener to engage students – reference to the success criteria (using adjectives &
connectives).
Behaviour techniques (traffic light faces, ringing a bell, noticing students off task).
Differentiated check lists/success criteria.
Self-assessment and peer assessment included.

Areas for development:


All students could have been doing something active to start, not just the chosen few; this
will help with engagement.
Be more aware of timings.
Some students had misplaced their checklist – ensure you have all the resources you need
before you start the lesson.
