Read the story below and answer the questions that follow.

It was dark that night. A fox was looking around for food. He did not notice a well in front
of him. He fell into the well. He tried his best to come out. He had to sleep in the well till
the next morning. He tried again and again. He was still not successful.

Just then, a goat passed by. He peeped into the well and was surprised to find the
fox there. “Hi, Mr Fox. What are you doing there?” asked the goat.

“Oh, I am enjoying myself drinking the sweet water in this well,” replied Mr Fox.
“Care to join me?” Mr Fox asked. The goat was interested. Without thinking, he jumped
into the well. He took some of the water. After that, he looked for a way to get out.

Mr Fox suggested that Mr Goat stand on his hind legs. Then, he would climb on the
goat’s head and get out. After that, Mr Fox would help Mr Goat out. Mr Goat did so and
Mr Fox got out of the well. He left the poor Mr Goat in the well.
