From this article I learned that urbanization makes a large impact on the environment.

The global urbanization rate is larger than 50% and 85% of a developed nation is in its

respective cities. Impermeable surfaces in these cites impact the water system by

increasing the amount of storm-water runoff and creating increased flooding. This

flooding contains more surface pollutants. This is related to my inquiry project by

creating a basis of current understanding. This article shows gives me facts of how things

are now, leading to an opportunity for me to explain how green roofs will make
