6. Technical Reports/Status Reports/Manuals/Guidelines
a) Year 2012-13, First Draft Monitoring report of Farmers Participatory Action Research
Programme (FPARP) under Y.S Parmar University of Horticulture & Forestry, Nauni.
Solans(H.P) which were monitored on 11/01/2013 at Solan & Sirmour District and
20/01/2013 at Nurpur of Kangra District (H.P) submitted to Chief Engineer (IBO), CWC,
Chandigarh on 30/01/2013 for approval.
b) Year 2012-13, First Draft Monitoring report of Shahnehar Major Irrigation Project under
CAD & WM Programme of MOWR submitted to Chief Engineer (IBO), CWC, Chandigarh
on 14/02/2013 for approval. The project was monitored on 21st & 22nd January 2013.
c) Year 2012-13, First Draft Monitoring report of Shahnehar Major Irrigation Project under
AIBP in district Kangra (H.P) MOWR submitted to Chief Engineer (IBO), CWC, Chandigarh
on 16/02/2013 for approval. The project was monitored on 22nd January 2013.
d) Year 2012-13, First Draft Monitoring report of Soan Khad Flood Protection Scheme HP-3
under FMP in Sarkaghat district Mandi (H.P) submitted to Chief Engineer (IBO), CWC,
Chandigarh on 16/02/2013 for approval. The Scheme was monitored on 8th January 2013.
e) Year 2012-13, First Draft Monitoring report of 12MI Schemes in District Mandi &Kangra
(H.P) (Shelf of 181 MI Schemes earlier 191 MIS) under AIBP in H.P state submitted to Chief
Engineer (IBO), CWC, Chandigarh on 8/02/2013 for approval. The Schemes were monitored
on 8th, 18th and 19th January, 2013.
7. Training
Assistant Director, M&A Dte, CWC Shimla is participating in the Training Programme on
Satellite based/online monitoring of AIBP Projects in order to develop in house capability in
CWC at NRSC, Hyderabad during 25-28 February, 2013.
10. Representation of CWC Officers
Director, M&A Dte, CWC, Shimla attended a meeting on February 11, 2013 to finalize the
report of Central Team to make an assessment of damages caused by heavy rains/ flash flood
2012 in Himachal Pradesh called by Joint Secretary (H.R) Ministry of Home Affairs, New
Delhi.
18. Other Activities
a) Director, M&A Dte, CWC, Shimla attended coordination meeting taken by Chief Engineer
(IBO), Chandigarh on 5/02/2013 in his chamber to discuss issues related to physical &
financial progress of works in respect of various Plan Schemes being operated by field units,
work plan for 2013-14 and posting of staff under Indus Basin etc.
b) Director and Assistant Director, M&A Dte, CWC, Shimla attended 42nd meeting of State
Technical Advisory Committee (STAC) for Flood Protection works, AIBP and Repair,
Renovation & Restoration of Water Bodies on 21 st February, 2013 in the Conference Hall, Jal
Bhawan Kasumpti, Shimla. The meeting was chaired by Engineer in Chief (I&PH Deptt.),
Government of H.P.
c) Director, M&A Dte, CWC, Shimla attended 17th meeting of the Implementation Committee
constituted for Supply Installation, Testing, Commissioning and Maintenance of real time
data acquisition network at 222 stations in various river basins, Earth receiving station and 10
Modeling Centers during XI Five Year Plan on 22/02/2013 at 11:30 am in the
Chamber of the Chief Engineer, YBO, CWC, Kalindi Bhawan, New Delhi.
