SCRIPT FOR THE OPENING CEREMONY OF ENGLISH WEEK

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim... thank you to our Honourable Headmaster,

En Muzafa bin Hussain, dedicated senior assistant teachers, caring
teachers and and all our beloved friends.

ASSALAMUALAIKUM AND A VERY GOOD MORNING I BID TO

ALL OF YOU..

Also, thank you to the Al-Mighty Allah Subhanahu Wataala, because

with his blessings, we are here today for the Public Speaking
competition for the Spaoh Zone Level, 2017!!!

For you all information, I, __________________________________

will be the masters of ceremony for our event today.

Before I start our ceremony, I would like to invite SK Kampung Buda’s

principal, Mr. Kon@Sapawi bin Yahu to recite the prayers. Please
welcome...

Thank you, Mr. Kon.. It is hoped that our ceremony will be in His
blessing. InsyaAllah..

Now, we are going to sing the National Anthem, the state song and the
school song.
Members of the floor, please stand up.

Thank you to all of you for respecting all these three songs. Now, you
may sit down.

As we know, today is the Public Speaking competition for Spaoh zone

level which supposed to be involving 10 schools under the Spaoh zone.
However, due to the difficult journey to reach this school, therefore
only 3 out of 10 schools will be competing in this competition which
will start in any moment after this. During this programme, it is hope
that all of the audiences will pay attention and support our participants
so that they will be more motivated to deliver their speech.

In this competition, there will be two session. The first session is for the
prepared speech and the second session is the impromptu speech. Our
contestants will be assess in both session through the use of language
and subject matter. Each contestants must not touch any sensitivity
issue or use any foul language, otherwise their marks will be deducted.
We really hope that all of the students will gain a lot of benefits from
these activities.

Ladies and gentlemen...

Without wasting any precious time, now, I would like to invite the first

Ladies and gentleman,

That is all for our first session. Next, we will take a break for 30
minutes before we begin our second session, which is for the
impromptu speech.

Ladies and gentleman,

For this session, each contestant will be given a chance to draw lot for
their impromptu speech title. Each contestant will be given three
minutes before they are due to present the speech.
A warning bell will be sounded at the 2nd minute and a final bell at the
3rd minute. Marks will be deducted thereafter.

Ladies and gentlemen, members of the floor.

Now, while waiting for our judges to count the marks, let us hear a
concluding Speech from the Headmaster. Hence, with the greatest
pleasure, I would like to invite our Honourable Headmaster, En
Kon@Sapawi, to give his Speech. Please welcome!!!
Thank you for the speech, En Kon.. From his speech just now, we can
conclude that he really hoped that all the students will gain the benefits
from this programme.

Ladies and gentlemen,

With the speech from our beloved headmaster just now, our Public
speaking competition is finally come to an end. Thus, we have now
come to the end of our ceremony today.
Finally, we have come to the much awaited moment, which is the price
giving session for the contestants who are able to show their utmost
talents.
With that, I would like to call upon our headmaster and our English
head panel to give the prizes to the winners. Please welcome.

And the winner of Public Speaking for Spaoh zone level goes to

For your information, adik _________ will be represent Spaoh to

compete in the district level. Congrateulations to all the winner.
Before we end our ceremony today, I would like to take this opportunity
to appeal to all of you to speak English at all times. Let’s promise
ourselves to start talking to one another in English as often as we can to
support for the HIP programme.

With the concerted effort of both teachers and students, we are sure that
we can enrich the English speaking environment in our school.

Now ladies and gentleman,

We have come to the end of our event. Let us stand up to sing our “Ibu
Pertiwi” song, follows by the “Fly KENYALANG fly” song.

With the end of the session, we would like to invite the contestants, and
the teachers to lunch before all of us go back.
