FACTORS THAT INFLUENCE THE HEALING POST OPERATION SECTIO
CAESAREA (SC)

Wound care is one of the techniques that must be mastered by nurses. The main
principle in wound care management is infection control because infection inhibits wound
healing process, causing morbidity and mortality to increase. Postoperative wound infection
is one of the major problems in surgical practice. With the development of the asepsis era,
surgical techniques and surgical treatment, post-operative wound complications tend to
decrease. If the wound of an infected patient leads to a longer treatment period, the cost of
hospital care becomes higher (Morison, 2003).
This study aims to determine the factors that affect wound healing postoperative SC
(Sectio Caesarea) in Gleneagles Hospital. The type of research used is survey method using
cross sectional approach. The research subjects were postoperative patients of SC (Sectio
Caesarea) on the fourth day in Gleneagles Hospital 2010-2011 period of 38 respondents.
Ordinal and ordinal scale ordinal data are analyzed by spearman rho (ρ) and chi-square test.
While to determine the dominant factors that affect the healing postoperative wound SC used
linear regression test.
The result of statistical analysis with linear regression test showed that the most
dominant factor affecting wound healing postoperative SC in Gleeagles Hospital is personal
hygiene (p = 0,000) then followed by nutritional status (consumption) with probability value
(Sig) 0,004 and the last is DM disease (Diabetes Mellitus) with probability value (Sig) 0,007.
The most dominant factor affecting wound healing postoperative SC in Gleeagles Hospital is
personal hygiene.

FAKTOR - FAKTOR YANG MEMPENGARUHI PENYEMBUHAN LUKA POST
OPERASI SECTIO CAESAREA (SC)

Prinsip utama dalam manajemen perawatan luka adalah pengendalian infeksi karena
infeksi menghambat proses penyembuhan luka sehingga menyebabkan angka morbiditas
dan mortalitas bertambah besar. Infeksi luka post operasi merupakan salah satu masalah
utama dalam praktek pembedahan. Dengan berkembangnya era asepsis, teknik operasi
serta perawatan bedah maka komplikasi luka pasca operasi cenderung menurun. Jenis
hygiene, status gizi (konsumsi), penyakit DM (Diabetes Mellitus)
