Dear Franklin Family and Friends
‘Words cannot adequately descrite the deep sadness that we fel because of the loss of one of our young,
Warriors, Nothing tray prepares any of us as parents, educators, and students to deal with such an
unexpected tragedy. Our excellent students and devoted faculty and staff came together and will emai
together, as we have been, as we mourn the loss of one of our family members,
During the upcoming days, grief counseling will be available to all our students faculty, and staff
Trained professionals are ready to receive them any time throughout the day. As much as possible, we
have been advised that it isfor the best with regard to the healing process that we asa leaming
community return to what we do normally
Discussions are occuring regarding ways to thoughtfully honor our student's memory. We are talking,
as learning community, considering what professionals would recommend as fitting to memorialize
four Warrior while ifting the spirits ofall and without causing more sadness. Our process also involves
including the wishes of ourstudent’s family, wonderful people who ate going through one ofthe most
heartrending times imaginaole
More information will be forthcoming, Thank you for your phone calls and letters and expressing yout
‘meaningful sentiments in condolence and support of our student's family and us a learning
‘community. Know that we eceive these with as much positivity as we can muster during sucha difficult
time as this. The fact that you take the time to recognize and express your connection to us moves our
spirits and contributes to our healing, We are grateful for you.
