- Ask the students “what do you prefer candy or soda?” and explain that each one of them prefer something
different and that called an opinion.

- Teach the students how to write a plan for opinion writing paragraph and model that

- Give the student transition words to help the students in their writing
- The teacher will give random topics to write their opinion about it.

Students instruction:
- The students will work on this activity independently
- Each group will have a topic but each student in the group will work independently.
- The students will plan or brain storm for that topic and then will write a paragraph.
