Current Situation
Apart from the popularity, the reason to choose to bBear as the main theme is
based on the current situation of bearsthem. As some of the thembear species
are endangered, it may arouse sympathy from the audience be our advantage
toif we promote theone of these endangered species species to gain the
empathy of our audience. For example, a video been shared over million times

too weak to hunt aa sealion as its prey and fled with her cub at last hadnearly
got killed by its prey been a shocked to the world since the hunter became the

Species chosen
Among all the endangered species, two of them are selected by our team as the
main species for this article which are polar bear and giant pandaPolar Bear
and Giant Panda are recommended to be focused in the press release. It is
because the reason for their endangered situation are mainly based on the
human activity on economic development. These two species of bear are
endangered, and the reason led to their endangered situation can mainly be
explained by the consequence of the economic development of human. For
example, the illegal logging in China resulted destroyed the lost of habitat
forof the Ggiant pPandas. andBesides, the global warmingclimate change
contributed caused by the worldair pollution resulted the ice melting in North
Pole and affected the habitat of polar bear. Due to their popularity and
situation, giant panda and polar bearthey can serve well for our purpose.

warminggreenhouse effect that caused by the greenhouse gases emitted. In
fact, the biggest source of greenhouse gases are the gases released by factories
from all over the world. However, not only from the economic activities, the
everyday life of human has also contributed to the global warming. For

between giant panda and red panda since they are both called panda. However red
panda and giant panda has no relationship. Although panda mainly natives in China,
they, their footprints can also be found in different places such as the United States. In

propose recommend them to be one of the main species in the next animal newspress

pandaGiant Panda is one of the protagonists in the show. Also, in the
2008 Beijing OlympicOlympics in 2008, the mascot character is also
designed based on the image ofGiant pPanda bear. The above
examples showed the popularity of panda is not limited in the area they
liveChina but the whole world. Which It showed thatmeans it Giant
Panda could serve our purpose well since they are well known to the
world.

The threats they face

The threats they are faceing are mainly caused by the commercial activities in
the area. Although there are llaws in China that restrict people from hunting
Giant Panda, they are still suffering from the threats caused by human
indirectly.
The land development
Due to the rapid urban development in China in the previous decades,
lots of forest area had been redeveloped which resulted a massive loss
of their habitat and food source, the bamboo forest. With the loss of

ConclusionRecommendation
As the purpose of this news article is to raise the public attention on animal
preservation, our objective is to promote and educate people on living more
environmental friendly. In order to fulfill our purpose, the main character in each
article must meet certain criteria. In this case, the main character should be well
known to different people and suffering from certain cruel situation that could raise
the empathy sympathy of the peopleaudience.
In fact, the Ppolar Bbear and Ggiant Ppanda could serve this well in terms of
both their popularity to us and the current situation they are facing. The situation of
the pPolar Bbear could show how human indirectly pushing thiese bearanimals to the
edge and became endangered. Besides, in the situation of the gGiant pPanda, we can
see how the need of land use destroyed the habitat of the giant panda. It is in fact that
both pPolar bBeear and Ggiant pPanda in this case could show how human directly
and indirectly caused threats to these bearsthe nature. Although there are some other
bear speciesanimal suffering in a more serious situation, thep Polar Bbear and the
gGiant pPanda are the species thatspecies that are more well-known to the world and
will be easier to promote since people will already have some brief image about the
animals. Therefore, we believe recommend gGiant pPanda and pPolar bBear is the
best for the main theme of the next article.
