Title: Early English Learning in Korea, then a Right now a Privilege

By: Chada Lei Paranete
Date: March 26, 2018

South Korea has recently banned teaching English for first (1st) and second (2nd) grade students
in elementary schools. The Ministry of Education in South Korea, in reliance to studies made by
English experts and neuroscientists, ruled that the best age for learning a secondary language is
the third (3rd) grade. Teaching the children at first (1st) and second (2nd) grade is too early.
