Kenya Virtual Airways

Rules & Operations

1.1 Disclaimer
All regulations and the consequences they carry can, may, and will
be enforced by KQVA executive staff and KQVA moderators. Exemption is
on a case-by-case basis, and will only be provided directly by HR or CEO.

2.1 Inactivity
All pilots and staff must remain active throughout their careers at
Kenya Virtual Airways. Absences must be reported at least 10 hours in
advance, and must also have specific reasons. If absences are not
reported, the following consequences may be enforced depending on
severity:
● Reduction of flight hours
● Reduction of miles
● Demotion
● Suspension
● Contract termination
If a valid reason is provided, the employee may be exempt from
discipline.

2.2 Expectations
Each flight conducted must be done so in a realistic manner. The
airline will provide the resources necessary to complete all flights, and will
guide the pilot through the use of each. This will include:
● A raw and decoded SimBrief flightplan
● Necessary charts
● PIREP form
● Important notes
● Flight checklist
It is mandatory that pilots use the correct callsign (KQVA followed by
the assigned flight number). At the end of each flight, the pilot will be
required to report the flight using the provided PIREP form. All details must
be filled in, otherwise the flight hours will not be logged. The pilot is
required to post a picture/screenshot of their current flight log in the PIREP
form, as well as in the Discord “flight-logs” channel. If the airline has
approved the pilot’s flight, the pilot will receive a personal message
informing them, and they will also receive a “check-box” reaction to their
photo on Discord.

2.2.1 Suggested Extensions

There are many third-party extensions for Infinite Flight that Kenya
Virtual Airways suggests pilots use. These include, but are not limited to:
● Infinite Passengers (PAX)
● Virtual Hub
● IF Assistant
○ “Warnings” Extension
● IF Checklists
● LiveFlight Connect
If the pilot uses the Infinite Passengers extension, he/she must join
the “Kenya Virtual Airways” airline. Please note that none of these
extensions are mandatory.

2.3 Outside Behavior

All pilots are expected to represent Kenya Virtual Airways in a
positive way. This includes:
● Treating others with respect
● Taking constructive criticism
● Assisting others on the Infinite Flight Community
The following behavior will not be tolerated:
● Disrespect
● Misconduct
● Breaking rules on the Infinite Flight Community
○ This offense will have repercussions from the airline as well as
the IFC itself
2.4 Criticism & Suggestion
If you find a flaw in Kenya Virtual Airways’ operations, you may
contact an executive using the following methods:
● Personal message via Discord
● Personal message via Infinite Flight Community
● Email
Kenya Virtual Airways is always open to constructive criticism,
however if the airline finds it deconstructive or unhelpful, any executive may
take corrective action.

3.1 General Rules

Kenya Virtual Airways does not condone nor tolerate any of the
following:
● Racism
● Sexism
● Colorism
● Ageism
● Bullying
● Trolling
● Sexual Content and Nudity
● Disrespect
● Promotion of drugs
○ Alcohol
○ Illegal Substances
○ Substance Abuse
● Any act that Kenya Virtual Airways finds inappropriate
If any of these offenses are committed, depending on the
degree/severity, the following consequences will be enforced:
● Suspension
● Contract termination
● Blacklisting/IFC intervention
● Law Enforcement
Kenya Virtual Airways will not hesitate to take action against
discrimination of any kind.
3.2 Contract Termination
If a pilot chooses to leave the airline, they must inform executive staff.
While it is not mandatory, the pilot will be requested to provide a reason. If
no reason is given, it is assumed that the pilot left the airline because of
business beyond the airline’s control.
If a pilot has committed an offense, the last resort is termination.
However, if the airline feels it is necessary, it will not hesitate to end the
pilot’s career. A brief Discord pm, Infinite Flight Community pm, and an
email will be sent to the pilot. If the offense committed is large enough, the
airline will then contact Infinite Flight Community moderators and Infinite
Flight Virtual Airline Regulation Board members about the pilot’s
misbehavior, and potentially get them blacklisted.

4.1 Ending
All pilots, regardless of rank, are required to review this document.
Failure to do so will result in immediate consequence, likely contract
termination.
