Story/text Mapping

Story/text mapping helps students learn characters, setting, the plot, and goals of the

characters, etc.

This is the same as story/text mapping. You take the main parts and write them down, in

an orderly outline. You just name the main topics and then put subtopics under the main topics.

With books the main topics would be the characters, settings, and the plot.

How I would use these strategies

I would use these strategies to keep my fictional student who has ADHD on task. It

would also help her study later for tests, and quizzes. It also helps her develop the ability to name

the important information in stories and texts.
