(7) Obey the local regulations for grounding (earthing) the aircraft.
If you must ground (earth) the aircraft:
(a) Ground (earth) the fuel tanker and the aircraft correctly (Ref. AMM 24-00-00, P. Block 301 ) .

NOTE: You must bond the fuel tanker to the aircraft. Obey local regulations for grounding (earth-
ing).

(c) Before removing the refuel/defuel coupling cap(s), insert the hose bonding cable pin(s) into the
grounding (earthing) point(s) near the coupling(s).

WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE FUEL SUPPLY HOSE IS CORRECTLY CONNECTED TO THE
COUPLING BEFORE YOU REFUEL/DEFUEL THE AIRCRAFT. DO NOT CONNECT THE
FUEL SUPPLY HOSE IF THERE ARE SIGNS OF DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT COUP-
LING LUGS OR SLOTS.

CAUTION: ON AIRCRAFT WITH REFUEL/DEFUEL COUPLINGS ON EACH WING, A MAXIMUM

OF TWO HOSES MAY BE CONNECTED AT ANY ONE TIME.
