1 INTRODUCTION
1.1 PURPOSE OF THE TEST PLAN DOCUMENT
The Test Plan is designed to prescribe the scope, approach, resources, and schedule of all
testing activities of the project Online CAR INSURANCE. The plan identify the items to be
tested, the features to be tested, the types of testing to be performed, the personnel
responsible for testing, the resources and schedule required to complete testing, and the
risks associated with the plan.

2 TEST ITEM
2.1 PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Car insurance is insurance for cars. Its primary use is to provide financial protection against
physical damage or bodily injury resulting from traffic collisions and against liability that
could also arise from incidents in a vehicle.

2.2 ITEMS TO BE TESTED / NOT TO BE TESTED

2.4 TEST APPROACH(S)

In the project Online Test Generator, there’re 4 types of testing should be conducted.

 Unit Testing
Unit testing is the testing of an individual unit or group of related units. It is often done by
the programmer to test that the unit he/she has implemented is producing expected output
against given input.

 Integration Testing
Integration testing is testing in which a group of components are combined to produce
output. Also, the interaction between software and hardware is tested in integration testing
if software and hardware components have any relation.

 Functional Testing
Functional testing is the testing to ensure that the specified functionality required in the
system requirements works.

 System Testing
System testing is the testing to ensure that by putting the software in different environments
(e.g., Operating Systems) it still works. System testing is done with full system
implementation and environment.

2.5 TEST ENTRY / EXIT CRITERIA

 Start Criteria
The tester will start the test execution when all the following inputs are ready
 Software is available for testing
 Test Specification is created
 Test Environment is built
 Enough human resource for testing

 Exit Criteria
Specifies the criteria that denote a successful completion of a test phase
 Run rate is mandatory to be 100% unless a clear reason is given

 Pass rate is also 100%, achieving the pass rate is mandatory

2.7 TEST SUSPENSION / RESUMPTION CRITERIA

 Suspension Criteria
If the team members report that there are 40% of test cases failed, suspend
testing until the development team fixes all the failed cases.
 Resumption Criteria
If the development team fixed all the failed cases that are the cause of suspension of test
cases then resume the testing.

3 RISK AND MITIGATION
