1. Dimensions should be in inches.

2. Use:
a. The appropriate template attached.
b. The appropriate sheet format including the date, material, part name. Include the
mass of each part.
3. Create all needed, Orthographic, Auxiliary, Detail and Section views. Each drawing must
include all the information required to fabricate the part. Views must be positioned correctly.
Minimum three views per part.
4. All needed dimensions and notes. Avoid redundant dimensions.
5. All needed visible, hidden, center and section lines.
6. Create an Assembly Drawing and an Exploded Assembly Drawing. Include a parts list on the
unexploded version with balloons, name, quantities, mass, and materials.

Three simple parts and an assembly.

1, LINK.

1. The block is 2.00” x 2.00” x 8.00” long.

2. The cut step is 4.00” from the left end.
3. The step section is 0.50” thick centered with 0.75” cuts top and bottom.
4. The radian at each end are 1.00”.
5. The bores at each end are 1.00”, 1.00” in from each end. Bores are thru.
6. The material is BRASS.
7. The slot on the right is .5” wide centered and 2.5” deep from the end of the part.
8. Calculate the part mass.

Part 2, PIN, LONG.

1. Part is 1.00”diameter x 6.00” long.

3. Material is Annealed Stainless Steel Bar.

Part 3, PIN, SHORT.

1. Part is 1.00”D x 2.00” long.

Assembly, CHAIN.

1. Create the chain as shown.

2. Use a PIN, SHORT at the three shown places and a PIN, LONG in each of the end Links.
3. Create Mates so each CHAIN LINK is 120 degrees from the next as shown.
4. Create the following Drawings of parts following instructions 1-10 above as applies
