The topic I will be writing about is LGBT and everything that they go through. In the

Supreme Court they were arguing about giving the LGBT the right for them to get

married to their love one’s. People couldn’t refuse any service to same-sex couples and if

they were religious they also couldn’t reject them. Furthermore, this kid fought for the

rights for LGBT people to use any restroom they wanted. When the justice removed the

case in march 2017 Trump guaranteed to transgender people to use the bathroom based

on their gender identity, but other people thought it was invading other people’s privacy

and safety.

The opponents in this article where some people that did not want LGBT people to

have the same rights for the restrooms. They thought it was a bad idea because they

thought the people that are gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender might take advantage

of the ”normal” people. It is ridiculous that people would think that because we are all

humans and we get to use the restroom we want were we feel confortable in. Therefore, a

boy tried to put the issue out there that sued the school because the staff did not let him

used the boy’s restroom and this boy is transgender. I’ve learned that a lot of people have

been fighting for the rights for LGBT and people still tried to look at them different then

what supposedly “normal” people should be.

In this article Gary Gates talks about same sex parents are as good as any other

parents. He says that a lot of same sex parents are adopting and also using reproductive

technology. For example, LGBT people can inseminate to have a child and they also can

get a surrogate to carry their baby for 9 months. Gates says that same-sex parents most
likely wouldn’t have their own children, only if one of them had a child with someone

else. In 2015 when LGBT got the right to marry their significant other back in the old

times a lot of people were against it because they thought it was wrong.

In school most of the time LGBT children are the one’s who are always getting

bullied because of who they are. This leads to them having depression, hiding themselves

of who they are, and committing suicide. This kid name Tyler Clementi jumped of a

bridge because his roommate from college decided to make a secretly video of him

kissing another man. In studies they show that cyber-bullying has so much effect in the

youth because of other children picking on other children. When Tyler committed suicide

they did a survey of some students for this school and 45 percent of them said they were

depressed because they were cyber-bullying them.

In conclusion, these articles they studied how marriage of same-sex took care of

their children and how cyber-bullying affected them. We all need to treat each other with

respect, kindness, and peace to make everything better.
