1. Minimum Requirements

WWE Raw has the following minimum
requirements:
Windows 98/ME/XP compatible computer system with DirectX 8.1
Pentium III 500 Mhz Processor
3D Graphics Accelerator Card
128 MB RAM
4x CD-ROM
1.05 GB of free Hard Drive Space
DirectX certified sound card
100% Microsoft compatible mouse and keyboard
Recommended Specs
Pentium III or K6-2 500 Mhz Processor
3D Graphics Accelerator Card with 16 MB of VRAM
128 MB RAM
EAX Compatible Sound Card

WWE Raw has been tested with the following video cards:
NVidia Geforce, Geforce 2, and 3
NVidia TNT and TNT2.
ATI Radeon 7000, 7200, 7500 and 8500
Matrox G450
If your card is not on the list, you can still run WWE Raw but may
experience technical problems.

1a. Installation Instructions
-----------------------------
Ensure that Microsoft Windows® 98/ME/XP is running with no other applications open
, then insert the WWE RAW PC CD-ROM DISK 1 into your CD-ROM drive.
If Autorun is enabled on your computer, the installation program will start afte
r a few seconds. You should then follow the instructions from (b) below. If yo
u do not have an Autorun facility, start at instruction (a).
(a) From your Windows® desktop, choose Start and then Run. Type D:\SETUP.EXE(
where D is the letter indicating your CD-ROM drive) in the box labelled Open, th
en click the OK button.
(b) You should follow the instructions that appear on screen. If in doubt,
choose the default options as you proceed through the installation.
Once you have completed installation, you may be prompted to shut down and then
restart your computer. If you are, please do so.
Once it is installed, you can run WWE RAW PC by selecting Start Menu, Programs,
THQ, then WWE RAW PC, or, if you have Autorun enabled, by simply removing and th
en reinserting your CD-ROM.
WWE RAW PC can be uninstalled by selecting Start Menu, Programs, THQ, then the U
ninstall icon.

3. Main Menu
------------
3a. Exhibition
Starts a new One-on-One match.
3b. Title Match
Compete for the championship title belts in the following divisions:
Women's, Light Heavyweight, Hardcore, European, Intercontinental,
And WWF Heavyweight.
3c. King Of The Ring
King of the Ring is an eight-man tournament where the contestants battle
it out for the coveted title of King of the Ring!
To Setup a new Tournament:
1. Choose a Match type: Single, Tag, Tournament, Triple-Threat, Fatal 4-Wa
y
2. Determine the rules as you would in any other game mode.
3. Select the Superstars to compete. Use the arrow keys to highlight a bra
cket and press the S key. Now use the Up and Down arrows to select a Superstar
for that bracket and press the S key to confirm.
4. Continue the process until the entire bracket is full.
5. When done, press Enter to begin the King of the Ring tournament!

3d. Create a Superstar


Choose from different body parts, clothes, movies, and music. The pyros and
stage lights can be edited as well.
3e. Museum
In the museum, you can look up Superstars' bios and listen to their intro musi
c.
You can also check out all of the items you've collected during your rise to th
e top.
Superstar Biographies
Use the arrow keys to highlight a Superstar s picture and view his or her stats.
You can also use the arrow keys to see more Superstar biographies by pushing lef
t or right when you are at the edge of the screen.
After highlighting a Superstar, press the S key to view more information about h
im or her, as well as a close-up of the Superstar s in-game model.

WEAPONS & EQUIPMENT
After unlocking weapons, belts and other equipment, you can view it in the museu
m. Use the arrow keys to scroll through the items, or to switch pages of items.
Highlight an item and press the S key to view its information.

3f. Options
Allows you to change various options in the game.

Game Options
-Difficulty
Allows you to select from Easy, Normal, and Hard
-Entrance Interference (on/off)
Allows players to interfere with an opponents enterence
-Background Movies (on/off)
Allows the player to decide whether or not to view movies.
players with lower end machines may see improvements
with this option turned off.
-Music, Sound, and Voice volume
Allows the user to control the volume of each.

Graphic Options 1
-Stamina Meter, Voltage Meter, Item Indicator and Target indicator (on/off)
Turns on or off the meter graphics during game play.
-Damage Effects (on/off)
Turns on or off the player damage graphics during game play.
-Double Feature (on/off)
Turns on or off the Double Feature instant replay feature.
-Pyro (on/off)
Controls the use of fire effects.
-Spot Light (on/off)
Controls the use of the spot light.

Graphic Options 2
-Hall Quality
Set the graphic quality of the main exhibit hall.
-Texture Quality
Select the detail level of all the textures in the game. Players with
lower end machines may see performance improvements by using the lower
settings.
-Superstar Quality
Choose the level of detail for your superstar. Players with
lower end machines may see performance improvements by using the lower
settings.
-Entrance Trinitron Movies (on/off)
Turn the superstar entrance movies on or off.
-Lighting(on/off)
Set the lighting options.
-Fog (on/off)
Select either on or off.
-Camera Flash (on/off)
Turn the camera flashes (during a match) on or off.

Assign Controllers
Select and configure your controller options. Scroll through the different
keyboard/joystick layouts and use our default settings, or create your own!
Assign Controllers
Use the Up and Down arrow keys to highlight a player position (1P, 2P, 3P or 4P)
. Once you have highlighted a player position, use the Left and Right arrow key
s to change the control options for that player. You may play with up to four p
layers using controllers and keyboards. To play with more than two players on j
ust the keyboard, you will have to customize the keyboard controls.
Customizing your Controls
When you have a player position highlighted, press Enter to customize that playe
r s controls. A cursor will appear in the command menu on the right side of the s
creen. The cursor starts at the top of the list. Each time you press a key or
controller button, you assign that key to the current action and the cursor move
s to the next action. After you have selected a key for each action, you are re
turned to the Assign Controller screen.

Save and Load


Save the your current game, or load an existing game from the hard drive.

View the credits.
Trailer
View the trailer for information on another title.

Movement
-You can move your superstar about the ring by using either set of 4 direct
ional keys. Movement forward, backwards, left, and right, is controlled by using
up arrow, down arrow, left arrow, or right arrow respectively. Use the S key to
Grapple, the A key for Action, the D key for attack, and the C key for Guard.
Also use the W key for Toggle Target, the E key for Nearest Target, and the Retu
rn key to pause the game.
-Use different combinations of arrow keys and buttons to do different moves
.
-Interact with boxes and items in the exhibit hall by pressing the Action b
utton to pick them up and again to "Use" them. Most items can be used to attack
your opponents, but be careful, some may get you disqualified!
Pausing
-The game can be paused at anytime by pressing the "Return" or "ESC" key.

Pause Menu
-Continue
Returns the player to gameplay.
-Back to Main Menu
Quit game and return to the Main Menu.
-I Quit! (King of the Ring Only)
Give up the current match and continue to next match in the seris.
-Voltage, Stamina, Target, Item, and Double Feature options (on/off)
Turn these meter graphics on or off.

Saving and Loading


-The first time you play WWF Raw you will be asked to create a new data fil
e. After this, the game will automatically load any game data if you have alrea
dy saved a game to your hard drive.

Video Cards
===================================================
Please ensure you are using the latest drivers available for your video card
if you experience random crashes, exits, or graphical glitches while playing
WWE Raw. You should check your card manufacturer's site for drivers first,
and use generic chipset drivers if your manufacturer's drivers do not
resolve the problem. A list of web sites for generic drivers is listed
below.
If problems persist, make sure that your computer and video card's BIOS are
both updated to the latest version (particularly for AGP cards) and that
your video card is on the supported list of hardware for your motherboard.
All Nvidia cards:
WWE Raw has been tested using version 30.82 of Nvidia's Detonator drivers. You
should
ensure you are using the latest drivers for your Nvidia card before running WWE
Raw.

Matrox cards:
WWE Raw has been tested using version 6.82.16 (5.84.023 for XP) of Matrox's driv
ers. You may experience random crashes or texture corruption if you are using a

Hardware Acceleration
==================================================
You may encounter problems running WWE Raw if your hardware acceleration setting
s are not set properly. Make sure your hardware acceleration is set to either "M
ost Functions" or "Full."

1. READ THE FOLLOWING TERMS AND CONDITIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE INSTALLING THE
PROGRAM. THIS SOFTWARE LICENSE AGREEMENT IS A LEGAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN YOU (AN IN

S AND AFFILIATES (COLLECTIVELY REFERRED TO AS "COMPANY") ON THE OTHER HAND, FOR

Y ASSOCIATED MEDIA, PRINTED MATERIALS, AND/OR "ONLINE" OR ELECTRONIC DOCUMENTATI
ON (TOGETHER CALLED THE "PROGRAM"). BY INSTALLING, COPYING, OR OTHERWISE USING T

themes, objects, characters, character names, stories, dialog, catch phrases, l
ocations, concepts, artwork, images, photographs, animations, video, sounds, aud
io-visual effects, music, musical compositions, text and "applets," incorporated
into the Program), the accompanying printed materials, and any copies of the Pr
ogram, are owned by Company or its licensors. This Agreement grants you no right
s to use such content other than as part of the Program. All rights not expressl
y granted under this Agreement are reserved by Company.
5. This Agreement is effective upon your installation of the Program and sh
all continue until revoked by Company or until you breach any term hereof; upon
termination you agree to destroy or delete all copies of the Program in your pos
session.
6. You shall not modify the Program or merge the Program into another compu
ter program (except to the extent the Program is made to operate within a comput
er operating system and in connection with other computer programs) or create de
rivative works based upon the Program.
7. The Program may not be downloaded or otherwise exported or re-exported i
nto (or to a national or resident of) any country to which the U.S. has embargoe

SCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES AND CONDITIONS, WHETHER ORAL OR WRITTEN, EXPRESS OR IMPLIE
D, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OR CONDITIONS OF MERCHANT
ABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT OF THIRD PARTY RIGHT
S, AND THOSE ARISING FROM A COURSE OF DEALING OR USAGE OF TRADE, REGARDING THE P
ROGRAM. COMPANY AND ITS LICENSORS ASSUME NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY DAMAGES SUFFE
RED BY YOU, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, LOSS OF DATA, ITEMS OR OTHER MATERIAL
S FROM ERRORS OR OTHER MALFUNCTIONS CAUSED BY COMPANY, ITS LICENSORS, LICENSEE A
ND/OR SUBCONTRACTORS, OR BY YOUR OR ANY OTHER PARTICIPANT'S OWN ERRORS AND/OR OM
ISSIONS. Company and its licensors make no warranty with respect to any related
software or hardware used or provided by Company in connection with the Program
except as expressly set forth above.
9. LIMITED CD-ROM WARRANTY: Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contai
ned herein, and solely with respect to Program distributed on CD-ROM, Company wa
rrants to the original consumer purchaser of this Program on CD-ROM that the rec
ording medium on which the Program is recorded will be free from defects in mate
rial and workmanship for 90 days from the date of purchase. If the recording med
ium is found defective within 90 days of original purchase, Company agrees to re
place, free of charge, any product discovered to be defective within such period
upon its receipt of the product, postage paid, with proof of the date of purcha
se, as long as the Program is still being manufactured by Company. In the event
that the Program is no longer available, Company retains the right to substitute
a similar program of equal or greater value. This warranty is limited to the re
cording medium containing the Program as originally provided by Company and is n
ot applicable to normal wear and tear. This warranty shall not be applicable and
shall be void if the defect has arisen through abuse, mistreatment, or neglect.
Any implied warranties prescribed by statute are expressly limited to the 90-da
y period described above. To receive warranty service: Notify the THQ Customer
Service Department of the problem requiring warranty service by calling (818) 88
0-0456 or on the web at http://www.thq.com. If the THQ service technician is un
able to solve the problem by phone or on the web via e-mail, he will authorize y
ou to return the Product, at your risk of damage, freight and insurance prepaid
by you, together with your dated sales slip or similar proof-of-purchase within
the ninety (90) day warranty period to: THQ Inc., Customer Service Department,
27001 Agoura Road, Suite 325, Calabasas Hills, CA 91301. Company is not respons
ible for unauthorized returns of the Program and reserves the right to send such
unauthorized returns back to customers. This warranty shall not be applicable
and shall be void if: (a) the defect in the Program has arisen through abuse, u
nreasonable use, mistreatment or neglect; (b) the Program is used with computer
software and hardware not meeting the minimum systems requirements for the Progr
am; (c) the Program is used for commercial purposes (including rental); (d) the
Program is modified or tampered with; or (e) the Program's serial number has bee
n altered, defaced or removed. Licensor will replace defective media at no char
ge as set forth above. This is your sole and exclusive remedy for any breach of
warranty.
10. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY. YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT COMPANY AND ITS
LICENSORS SHALL NOT ASSUME OR HAVE ANY LIABILITY FOR ANY ACTION BY COMPANY OR I
TS CONTENT PROVIDERS, OTHER PARTICIPANTS OR OTHER LICENSORS WITH RESPECT TO COND
UCT, COMMUNICATION OR CONTENT OF THE PROGRAM. COMPANY AND ITS LICENSORS SHALL NO
T BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, PUNITIVE, EXEMPLARY, OR CONSE
QUENTIAL DAMAGES RESULTING FROM POSSESSION, USE, OR MALFUNCTION OF THE PROGRAM,
INCLUDING DAMAGES TO PROPERTY, LOSS OF GOODWILL, COMPUTER FAILURE OR MALFUNCTION
AND, TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DAMAGES FOR PERSONAL INJURIES, EVEN IF ADV
ISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. EXCEPT AS EXPRESSLY PROVIDED HEREIN, CO
MPANY'S AND ITS LICENSORS' ENTIRE LIABILITY TO YOU AND YOUR EXCLUSIVE REMEDY FOR
ANY BREACH OF THIS AGREEMENT IS LIMITED SOLELY TO THE TOTAL AMOUNT PAID BY YOU
FOR THE PROGRAM, IF ANY. BECAUSE SOME STATES DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMIT
ATION OF LIABILITY FOR CERTAIN DAMAGES, IN SUCH STATES COMPANY'S AND ITS LICENSO
RS' LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
11. INJUNCTION. Because Company would be irreparably damaged if the terms of
this License Agreement were not specifically enforced, you agree that Company s
hall be entitled, without bond, other security or proof of damages, to appropria
te equitable remedies with respect to breaches of this Agreement, in addition to
such other remedies as Company may otherwise have under applicable laws.
12. INDEMNITY. At Company's request, you agree to defend, indemnify and hold
harmless Company, its affiliates, contractors, officers, directors, employees,
agents, licensors, licensees, distributors, content providers, and other users o
f the Program, from all damages, losses, liabilities, claims and expenses, inclu
ding attorneys' fees, arising directly or indirectly from your acts and omission
s to act in using the Program pursuant to the terms of this License Agreement or
any breach of this License Agreement by you. Company reserves the right, at its
own expense, to assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter otherwis
e subject to indemnification by you hereunder, and in such event, you shall have
no further obligation to provide indemnification for such matter.
13. U.S. GOVERNMENT RESTRICTED RIGHTS. The Program and documentation have be
en developed entirely at private expense and are provided as "Commercial Compute
r Software" or "restricted computer software." Use, duplication or disclosure by
the U.S. Government or a U.S. Government subcontractor is subject to the restri
ctions set forth in subparagraph (c)(1)(ii) of the Rights in Technical Data and
Computer Software clauses in DFARS 252.227-7013 or as set forth in subparagraph
(c)(1) and (2) of the Commercial Computer Software Restricted Rights clauses at
FAR 52.227-19, as applicable. The Contractor / Manufacturer is THQ Inc., 27001 A
goura Road, Suite 325, Calabasas Hills, CA 91301.
14. TERMINATION. Without prejudice to any other rights of Company, this Lice
nse Agreement and your right to use the Program may automatically terminate with
out notice from Company if you fail to comply with any provision of this Agreeme
nt or any terms and conditions associated with the Program. In such event, you m
ust destroy all copies of this Program(s) and all of its component parts.
15. GENERAL PROVISIONS. You may not use, copy, modify, sublicense, rent, sel
l, assign or transfer the rights or obligations granted to you in this Agreement
, except as expressly provided in this Agreement. Any assignment in violation of
this Agreement is void, except that you may transfer your Program to another pe
rson provided that person accepts the terms of this License Agreement. If any pr
ovision of this Agreement is held to be unenforceable for any reason, such provi
sion shall be reformed only to the extent necessary to make it enforceable, and
such decision shall not affect the enforceability of: (i) such provision under o
ther circumstances, or (ii) the remaining provisions hereof under all circumstan
ces. Company's failure to enforce at any time any of the provisions of this Agre
ement shall in no way be construed to be a present or future waiver of such prov
isions, nor in any way affect the right of any party to enforce each and every s
uch provision thereafter. The express waiver by Company of any provision, condit
ion or requirement of this Agreement shall not constitute a waiver of any future
obligation to comply with such provision, condition or requirement. Notwithstan
ding anything else in this Agreement, no default, delay or failure to perform on
the part of Company shall be considered a breach of this Agreement if such defa
ult, delay or failure to perform is shown to be due to causes beyond the reasona
ble control of Company. This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the Stat
e of California and the United States without regard to its conflicts of laws ru
les and you consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal court
s in Los Angeles County, California. The United Nations Convention on Contracts
for the International Sale of Goods shall not apply to this Agreement. This Agre
ement represents the complete agreement concerning this License Agreement betwee
n you and Company.
