Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management

Studies (JBIMS) was founded in 1965 and has

since been known to stand strong for its
exemplary alumni, distinguished faculty and
talented students.

The MSc. Finance course was founded on the

special recommendation made by the Prime
Minister’s Office in the year 2013 to foster
industry ready leaders. The course has grown
tremendously as one of the top Finance
Masters Programs in India under the astute
guidance of the management board of
Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management
Studies (JBIMS). The illustrious Board consists
of Mr. Ajay Piramal (Chairman, Piramal Group,
and Shriram Group), Mr. Uday Kotak (MD, Kotak
Mahindra Bank), Ms. Chanda Kochhar (CEO,
ICICI Bank), Mr. Noshir Kaka, (Director,
McKinsey) and Mr. Niraj Bajaj (Director, Bajaj
Auto Ltd). The confluence of the graciously
awarded autonomy to the Institute and the
discerning guidance of our esteemed Board
has led JBIMS to chart an exciting path to
global heights.

positions in various investment banks,
brokerage houses, private equity entities,
banks, insurance companies, credit rating
agencies, portfolio management services and
venture capital entities, have testified that the
course has not only provided a strong
foundation to tackle the challenges of the

The batch diversity attracted companies from a variety of sectors, domains, and
geographies who continued the trend of hiring Masters in Finance students for
prestigious roles. The batch received PPOs/PPIs which was increased by 12.5% from the
previous year. The year saw a stunning growth in the number of new companies
participating in the Final Placement process. 31% of the batch was offered esteemed
roles in Corporate Finance, followed by other prominent roles like Equity Research,
Institutional Finance, Business Analyst, and many more. The highest package this year
was of CTC 23 LPA, witnessing a growth of 7% from last year. The top 10% of the batch
bagged a CTC of 23 LPA and the average package offered this year amounted to CTC
16.45 LPA.

The Internship process of the current batch re-established Masters in Finance’s strong
anchorage in the industry. The Internship drive witnessed a great response from the
industry with a surge in the participation of various new companies, along with the
trusted regular recruiters. Candidates were offered coveted roles in Equity Research,
Market Research, Commercial Banking, Venture Capital, and many more. The highest
stipend offered this year was of 2.4 L while the average stipend offered stood at 1.16 L.
This year’s Final Placements and Internships saw a striking increase in the
participation of desirous companies who, together with our faithful and
supportive regular recruiters, demonstrated the growing demand for the
specially designed Masters in Finance course, and the faith that the
industry places on our candidates. This year was marked by presence of
33 prestigious companies out of which 18 were first time participants
which continued the trend of offering various distinguished profiles to
the students.
