President and Mrs.

Trump,

I wish to express to you my gratitude for the invitation to the Mother’s Day reception at the White
House on May 9th. It is such an honor to be invited and recognized as a mother of a military member. I
would like to take this opportunity and tell you a little bit about my Air Force Family.

My husband, MSgt (Ret) Scott Stalford, served in the USAF for 23 years, and I was with him for 18 of
those years. He was an Airborne Vietnamese Linguist for most of his career, flying in the back-end of the
RC-135 aircraft. He continues to serve in his role as a Department of the Air Force civilian employee at
Lackland AFB in San Antonio, TX. Together we have four sons.

Capt Matthew Stalford is an Intelligence Officer in the USAF and just began his first command position in
Washington DC. He is also one of your Social Aides to the White House, and the reason I received this
wonderful invitation. He commissioned out of Det. 825 at the University of Texas Austin in 2009. His
dad was his first salute.

Capt Andrew Stalford is a pilot and is currently stationed in Omaha, Nebraska. Coincidentally, he is a
pilot of the RC-135 aircraft. The same plane his father amassed over 5,000 hours on during his AF
career. He commissioned out of Det. 825 at the University of Texas Austin in 2011. His brother
Matthew swore him in, and his dad was his first salute.

1st Lt Philip Stalford is a Missile Officer currently stationed in Cheyenne, Wyoming. He spends the
majority of his time in remote locations at Missile Alert Facilities. He also commissioned out of Det. 825
at the University of Texas Austin in 2015. His brother Andrew swore him in, and his dad was his first
salute.

Our fourth son, Adam, has also answered the call of service, and will be graduating from Texas State
University with an undergraduate degree in Business on May 12, 2018. He will receive his commission
out of Det. 840 on Saturday, May 19, 2018. Adam will begin his AF career as a Combat Systems Officer
(CSO), with his training to take place in Pensacola, FL. His brother Philip will be swearing him in, and his
dad will be his first salute.

As you can imagine, the receipt of this invitation to recognize mothers and spouses of military members
means a lot to me. I am, without a doubt, a proud military wife and mother!

My husband and I would like to extend to both of you a personal invitation to our son Adam’s
Commissioning into the USAF on Saturday, May 19th at 12:00 pm. The event will take place at Texas
State University in San Marcos, Texas.

Thank you again for the invitation to the White House on May 9th. I am humbled by your hospitality.

Very Sincerely Yours,

Lisa Stalford
