Argumentative Essay Reflection

My artifact is my Childhood Obesity Argumentative Essay. I did this essay in

Mrs.Vanhill’s class and I got a score of 80/80. Our teacher assigned this assignment in March.

This is a very important assignment for me because since I passed it with an 80/80, I passed my

English class last year. This helped me a lot and it also boosted up my confidence with school

because at this point when I did the essay I was struggling in writing essays, and this assignment

helped me be confident again in my work.

My artifact makes me very proud because of the fact that I got a perfect score of 80/80. In

order to get a perfect score, I had to have a good introduction paragraph, good body paragraphs

(three in total), and a good conclusion paragraph. The topic of the essay was whether it was the

parents fault or the child’s fault for obesity. This is very special because I struggled with my

essays in 11th grade and the fact that I got a perfect score, this is a proud moment for me.

The SLO that I demonstrate were that I was a critical thinker. I was a critical thinker by

thinking on ways I could get a perfect 80/80 score, and I accomplished that by doing everything

that Ms.Vanhill told us to do which was to have a good intro, thesis, good three body paragraphs,

and a good strong conclusion.

I have grown as a result of my essay because now I have the ability and strive to write

good argumentative essay’s. I could potentially use this in my future because now I have the

ability to write a good argumentative essay and this could help me in college. I learned about

myself that I could write a good essay, but I just got to put my mind into doing it. I still need to

write my essays more with details and not so vague.
