6.4 Troubleshooting Electronics

The ventilator cannot be repaired on component level except for changing fuses.

If there is a problem with one of the units, it must be exchanged. External components such
as proportional valves, flow sensors, and other external parts are available as spare parts.

6.4.1 Troubleshooting Ventilator

Main fuses
The two main fuses are placed on the power supply box, and can be changed without
opening the box. The fuses are (Fuse 1 and 2):

O 115V version : T4A (P/N 40055-4AT).

O 230V version : T2A (P/N 40055-2AT).

Inside the ventilator box (inside the machine) is placed a black plastic box in which
the fuses for the ventilator components are placed. Open the box by lifting the lid in one end.

The fuses are:

Fuse 4: Protection of power supply : T4A (P/N 40055-4AT).

Fuse 5: Protection of battery charger : T4A (P/N 40055-4AT).

Fuse 6: Protection of battery : T4A (P/N 40055-4AT).

Caution:
Use only fuses of same type and rating.

6.5 Changing Mains Power Voltage

If the mains power to the machine is changed from 230V to 110/115V, or from 100/115V to 230V,
the machine must be modified by the following procedure:

1. Disconnect the machine from mains power and driving gas.

2. Change main fuses on the power supply box. 110/115V: T4A (P/N 40055-4AT)
230V: T2A (P/N 40055-2AT)

Labels Mains cable:

Mount new labels at the power supply box. 110/115V: 11395-110
230V: 11395-230

Reconnect the machine to Mains and driving gas.

Carry out a functional check of the machine as described in the User Manual.

Check the adjustment of all the internal reduction valves, by using test instrument P/N 72231.

qusjob42.72231.pdf
Special tool for pressure regulator (P/N 72231)

The valves should be adjusted as:

A) 1 pcs. at O2 inlet manifold: 4 - 4.5 (x100 kPa)

B) 1 pcs. at drivegas selector block: 4 - 4.5 (x100 kPa)
C) 1 pcs. at ventilator manifold: 2.8 - 3.2 (x100 kPa)

If necessary re-adjust the reduction valves and check that the pressure is stable after adjustment,
and does not rise slowly.

7.8.2 O2 alarm adjustment

Open O2 fresgas flow and disconnect O2 supply to the machine.
Close O2 freshgas flow when the O2 pressure gauge on front of the machine reads 2.5 (x100kPa).
Adjust the pressure regulator (D) for the O2 alarm until the O2 alarm (whistle) sounds.
Connect O2 supply to the machine, open O2 freshgas flow and check that the O2 alarm starts
at app. 2.5 (x100kPa). If not, re-adjust.
