To Whom It May Concern:

It is of great pleasure to write this letter recommending Angela Matthews in her desire to
continue higher education. I have known Angela since August of 2016 and have been impressed
in her school perseverance and her determination in my Integrated Math 3.

Angela is a studious, independent, talented, passionate, hardworking, and a serious-minded

intelligent young lady that has the drive to accomplish all her goals. Moreover, Angela is
responsible in her school studies, where she has obtained a 3.44 GPA through her high school
experience. Equally important, Angela has stretched herself widely in being able to be enrolled
in the following AP classes: Biology, Statistics, Physics, Literature and Composition, and
Government. Angela has had the ability to be involved in a range of activities, clubs, and sports
during her high school career. Angela was part of the AG Leadership, Marching Brigade, FFA,
Merced Civic Ballet Company, and Lancers 4-H; where she was the secretary, vice president,
and president. In addition, Angela managed to be part of the El Capitan Varsity Track and Field,
Varsity Cheerleader, and be part of Moe’s Sidekicks Taekwondo. Moreover, Angela has
received honors and awards that include, the Western Athletic Conference Scholar, National
Society for High School Scholars, and be part of CSF. Lastly, Angela was able to complete more
than 200 hours of community hours and had a summer internship for Senator Anthony Cannella.

Furthermore, Angela has many goals that she will like to achieve which include being a Doctor
or a Surgeon. She will be applying to a variety of universities to achieve her goal in obtaining a
masters or a doctorate in biology. Lastly, Angela is looking forward in competing in Miss
California and then becoming Miss America. Miss. Matthews in an unquestionable valuable
asset and I recommend her for any endeavor she chooses to achieve.
