The improvements are necessary to reduce the inflow and infiltration of rainfall water as well as surrounding soils into the City of Lincoln Park’s sanitary sewer system, Under this Program, th City of Lincoln Park will test private sewer lines within the eity limits of Lincola Park. The Cy of Lincoln Park will otfyin writing those property owners whose sewer lines are in need of repirs or replacement and provide theta with the results ofthe tests, Ifthe sewer line isin need of repair o replacement, the eligible property owner may apply to the Community Development Department for articipation inthe Program. The Community Development Department will acopt and process all aplications The Program will provide funds to eligible participants to repair and/or replace the private sanitary sewer lead from the City of Lincoln Park's main line tothe building's edge, ‘These funds are available inthe form ofa five (5) year forgivable loan and shall be paid directly tothe contractor atthe time of completion and acceptance ofthe project by the City. Additional repairs, which are required to complete the work and propery tie-in tothe house line, may be possible through this Program. There area few eligibility guidelines to consider when applying: applicant(s) must reside within the city limits of Lincoln Park; applicant must ovn the home; applicant must occupy the home as his/her primary residence. Additionally, Applicant household’s annual gross income must not exceed eighty percent ofthe maximum incone limits.
