    10.0 END PLATE BEARING STRESS FROM WHEEL LOAD:

    Check the bearing stress in the end plate bores from the wheel loading
    Wheel load Pwheel = 24610 lbf.
    Endplate thickness at wheel tpl = 1.50 in
    Distance from wheel load to center of end plate X1 = 8.25 in
    Distance from end plate to axle capture plate X2 = 18.75
    Axle diameter daxle = 6.00 in
    Taking moments about the capture plate determine the bearing load
    Bearing load Pb = 35438 lbf.

    Bearing stress σb = 3938 psi

    Allowable bearing stress: Fb = 0.70* YP316L = 17500 psi


    σb < Fb = SAFE
