Selection, Auxiliary systems, Diagnostics and troubleshooting and Performance evaluation. He Conducted training

About the Training:

Every process industry either a Fertilizer, Refinery or Petrochemical Unit has a requirement of
compressing gases from lower pressures at which they are generated to a pressure that is demanded by
the process. This is accomplished by providing a suitable compressor. Depending on the process fluid
parameters either a centrifugal axial or reciprocating compressor is deployed. Most common type of
compressor found in these industries is a centrifugal compressor.
The equipment is designed and supplied by a OEM and integrated with the client's process. As the
machine is getting older or the process parameters keep changing, there will be lot of performance
deteriorations which need a operators interference. It is considered necessary for the user to understand
the design, operating philosophies and fine tune the machine and process for a reliable operation. This
course is intended to provide a technical background to the user engineers to enhance their knowledge
to operate and maintain the machines for a long trouble free operation.

Training Overview:
This training program has 3 comprehensive modules consisting of what essentially the engineers working in the
process and refinery industries must know where they get necessary concepts and give them the ability to
diagnose and resolve the issues.
Module I: Introduction, types of compressors, API Codes, thermodynamics, performance curves, Selection
Module II: Manufacture of critical parts, assembly & testing of the machines and inspection and maintenance and
system design which deals with the associated auxiliary systems supporting the machines.
Module III: Operation, Maintenance, trouble shooting and Diagnostics which provide an exposure to the
operational practices for critical plants like Refinery, Fertilizer, Petrochemical and steel plants. Many case studies
will be presented to show failures and typical resolutions. Do's and dont's recommended for reliable operation also
are brought out.

maintainability measures the ease and speed with which a system can be restored to operational status after a failure occurs.
• Availability factor of a process plant is the amount of time that it is able to produce electricity over a certain period, divided by
