To check GA requisitions.
To prepare and check GA and manufacturing drawings in accordance with TRCS
and design calculations.
To prepare solid models on solid-works in 3D softwares.

Duties

1. Overall responsibility of projects.

2. Responsible for design and detailing of components and systems for special purpose
machines used for industrial production.
3. Responsible for getting design concepts evaluated through soft and experimental
validations.
4. Understand requirements, create design concepts, perform design calculations, and
create 3D CAD models, 2D detailed drawings and layout drawings.
5. Responsible for creating relevant technical documentation and service / maintenance
standards.
6. Develop company design standards and standard reusable platforms
7. Present technical and project management overviews.
8. To teach new members of the team and expand peoples existing knowledge bases.

Job Tasks:

• Design and optimization of mechanical components for automotive powertrain systems.

Components include shafts, couplings, flanges, housings, clutches etc.

• Analysis of mechanical systems, including Finite Element analysis for structural, fatigue,

thermal, vibration, and acoustics.

• Analysis and specification of electro-mechanical and electro-hydraulic systems

• Develops manufacturing drawings in accordance with applicable standards

• Construct and oversee technicians in construction of developed systems

• Interfaces with outside vendors for component selection, manufacturing, and assembly.

• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated

reports.

• Confer with system engineers and other personnel to implement operating procedures,

resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information.

• Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals, and other data

to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications.

• Specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance

with engineering design and performance specifications.

Job Description:

Senior Mechanical/Design Engineer

Apply sound engineering principles in the development and documentation of products. Provide direct

instruction and guidelines for ME I and II Pensar staff members.

• Regular Duties:

o Project management (team size: 2+ engineers/designers).

ƒ Primary responsibility is to ensure that Clients are thrilled and Pensar’s services are

the highest quality possible.

ƒ Involved with schedules at the initial sales effort to ensure deliverables are

reasonable for project execution.

ƒ Maintain schedules thru interaction with Pensar personnel and Clients.

ƒ Work as single point of contact for multiple Clients on multiple projects.

ƒ Maintain ongoing project requirements and specifications for multiple projects.

ƒ Review design efforts from team to ensure that quality is being maintained.

o Manage and scope investigations into form or function of a feature or set of features in a
design.

o Creation and refinement of technical mechanical part and assembly drawings to capture

design intent and document the key aspects necessary to accomplish the manufacturing

goals of a project.

o Creation and refinement of complex mechanical components including sourcing, volume

models, key performance parameters, etc.

o Management of electrical parts as typically used in the mechanical design models. This

includes PCB’s, connectors, plugs, layout control models, import/export activities,

coordination and management of interface details with the client’s electrical engineering

team.

o Creation of communication documentation to help convey the key aspects of a design to a

client or manufacturing partner.

o Creation and maintenance of a Bill of Materials for one or more projects.

o Creation, control, and maintenance of release packages and design history files.

o Data management and release process activities.

o Determine root cause analysis and testing activities. Guide other Pensar Staff.

o Direct communication with Clients.

o Exercising independent judgment is always required at Pensar regardless of what role is

being fulfilled. Combine the judgment of multiple Pensar team members.

o Learning is a required assignment for all employees.

• Executive management.

o Help with resource loading.

o From both project and employee viewpoints.

ƒ Project resource adjustment to meet deliverables.

o Develop engineers skill set.

ƒ Ongoing design reviews/brainstorming sessions with engineers/designers working

on projects under your control.

ƒ Work with other Pensar Engineers to help increase their knowledge/skills.

• Review others concepts/designs.

o Help locate and interview new talent as needed at Pensar.
