Resumen
Abstract
David Wechsler is responsible for one of the most popular and used intelligence test
nowadays. The first edition of the test appeared in the clinical realm in 1939. When
compared with other scales used for diagnoses purposes, Wechsler’s was based on a more
functional conception of intelligence and pretended to be more useful for such purposes.
The scale was developed from the extensive clinical experience of its author, having certain
intelligence tests as a reference and assuming particular conceptual premises. In this work
