8. Insert the HPC Button Clutch,
Part Number CO-87 through the
gap. Position the snare tip of the
tool around the door button, snag
button and pull upward on the
tool pulling up button. Remove
tool and deflate Air Wedge®
before opening door.

9. Picture of door button. There is no


other power or manual door release
other than the door button. Pushing
down door button on driver side of
vehicle will lock all doors.

10. Lock Picking Style: HPC Car


Opening Authority Technique PX:
Ignition Lock: Acc./On/Start = CW,
Off/Lock = CCW. Driver Side Door
Lock: Lock = CCW, Unlock = CW.
Passenger Side Door Lock: Lock
= CW, Unlock = CCW. Trunk Lock:
Unlock = CW.

Locations: Driver Side
Steering Wheel, Seatback,
Side Curtain, Passenger
Side Front Dash.

Ignition Lock

12. Ignition Lock Removal: Column Mount.


Tumblers: 8 / Tumbler Positions: 1-8. Vehicle
Code on Cylinder: None.

13. HPC Specialty Tools


Needed: Truarc Ring Pliers
HPC No.TRU-99 or HPC
No.TRU-55

14. Remove 3 (P-2) screws


on bottom of column shroud.

15. Remove 2 (P-2) screws, one on
each side of steering wheel.

16. Carefully unsnap bottom portion of


column shroud from top portion and remove.

17. Remove 1 (P-2) screw to


remove transponder ring.

18. Carefully pull outward on ring.

19. With lock in “Accessory” position, depress on cylinder


depression pin located at two o’clock position of ignition lock
housing. This picture shows depression pin using a mirror.

20. Pull outward on ignition lock to remove.

22. Carefully remove plastic face cap.

23. To service ignition lock, remove Truarc Ring from


ignition lock using HPC No.TRU-55 Truarc Ring Pliers.

24. The ignition lock core is held into


place with a disc.

Door Lock

33. Door panel removal.

34. Remove side mirror access panel,


2 snap clips.

35. Carefully remove door pull handle trim


plate, snap clips.

36. Remove 2 (P-2) screws at
pull handle.

37. Carefully remove trim


cup at leaver release.
Unsnap top first then
bottom.

39. Using the HPC AST6 Door clip removal tool,
remove door panel.

40. Pull outward on bottom of door panel first


and lift upward to remove.

41. Disconnect power window plug.

Trunk Lock

56. Push inward on rivet plug.
