ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

I would like to acknowledge the people who helped me for this On-The-Job

Training to be a success.

To the Almighty Father, thank you for giving me the strength and good health to

finish this 384 hours training.

To my family, thank you for supporting me financially, emotionally and spiritually.

Without your continuous support, I would not be able to successfully accomplish this

part of my college life.

To my bestfriends, especially Rezel, Bons, Sheena, and Jenevieve, thank

you also for sharing special moments with me although we weren’t able to see each

other much. Thanks for the fun!

To my co- trainees, Liezel and Liza, I would not be able to survive the whole

duration of training if it weren’t for the conversations and the laughters that we’ve

shared. We have made all tasks easier with the help of each other. We have made

boring moments fun. Thank you for the wonderful company and the friendship.

To my professors in Practicum, Dr. Noemi L. Ibo & Dr. Rosemarie T. Frias,

thank you for supporting and guiding us all the way. Thank you for giving constant

advice to us whenever we have meeting in school. I am grateful to have been able to

experience this training which would not be made possible without your help. Thank you

so much, Madames!

Lastly, to the RPO family, who have become my family during the training, thank

you for accepting us as your student-trainees. Truthfully, I am lucky to be one of your

trainees because I, along with my co-trainees, was really trained well with the great

supervision of Sir Frank Antivola. To all the prosecutors and the staff of the Regional

Prosecution V, a big thanks to all of you.

INTRODUCTION

On-the-job training is one of the best training methods through which the students

learn new things and experience the scenarios in the real world. It is through this that a

student’s skills and abilities are tested. It is a way for a student to further enhance

his/her skills in different areas, may it be in written or oral communication or in technical

aspects.

Through OJT, a student is able to do what a regular employee does. Thus, this OJT

does not only become an avenue to learn & discover and to be trained, this can also

become his/her gatepass to fast employment.

Fortunately, our course program, AB Political Science, requires us to have our

On-The-Job Training in the different local government agencies. This has made us

experience the real world of work. This portfolio, therefore, presents all the documents

related to my On - The - Job Training at the Regional Prosecution Office.

CONCLUSION

At the end of the On-The-Job training period, I have experienced many things

and have gained new learnings especially about the work of normal government

employees.

As a trainee, I have learned to listen carefully with the instructions of my

supervisor. If I do not understand something, I simply asked for help. Taking initiative is

one way of learning. I have now realized the value of being assertive when it comes to

learning new things.

Aside from that, I also learned the correct and easy way of operating Microsoft

Excel and other applications. I also learned how to prepare job application documents. I

have learned to operate a shredder, and a different type of printing machine. I also

learned how to distinguish cases based from its nature and its status.

During the OJT period, I also experienced how to deal with the people around me

- the enployees. It was nice meeting them all since they are easy to approach and very

kind. Aside from that, I am happy to have been able to help them in their works.

My realization is that life in school and life in the real world is far way different.

Most of the time in school, we just learn theoretically. While in the real world, we

actually learn theoretically and apply those theories practically.

To end, I can say that OJT made my college experience complete. It made me a

better person.
