TECHNO-ECONOMIC FEASIBILITY STUDY ON E-COMMERCE PLATFORM FOR MARKETING OF HANDLOOM

AND HANDICRAFT PRODUCTS OF THE NORTH EASTERN REGION

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE OF THE QUESTIONNAIRE FORMATS

1. The data collection is product specific as it is being analyzed from e-commerce perspective.
2. The questionnaire formats are of 3 types :-
a. Form no. F1 : for individual handicraft artisans / producers
b. Form no. F2 : for individual handloom weavers / producers
c. Form mo. F3 : for aggregators : individual/ entrepreneurs / marketing agencies who source products
of artisans and market the same.
In case any entrepreneur who produces his own products and also sources products from outside
he will fill up format F1 or F2 for own produce and F3 for products sourced.
3. Quality mark refers to Handloom mark, Silk mark, Craft mark, India Handloom Brand, Fair Trade Practice
Certication, G.I. etc., which conforms to the respective mandated norms.
4. For handloom products yarn specification (both in warp and weft) as well as weaving specification (epi /ppi)
is solicited and will be collected, wherever available, as furnished by the producer. Yarn specification if not
available in count, the same may be filled up as per the unit and specification communicated by the producer
/ aggregator. E.g. hand reeled, 2 ply etc. For End per inch and Pick per inch as well as other reference
may please refer to page number 6.
5. For Form number F1 and form number F2, if there are more than one product, multiple forms i.e. equivalent
to number of products, need to be filled-up as information desired on product and production process at
column B & C will vary with product variety. In such a case column A may not be filled up / repeated, however
all such forms from single producer are to be stapled together. The product reference number may accordingly
be linked to the producer with proper reference number.
6. Serial Number of producer will follow the code as explained below, -

7. Product serial number will be assigned accordingly for each individual product of each producer / aggregator.
E.g. F1/AS/FI/01/002, where the last digit 02 means the 2nd product of the producer with reference
number F1/AS/FI/01.
8. Each product needs to be backed by its photograph. The aim is to combine the product details alongwith the
photograph while cataloguing and analyzing. While furnishing data about the products to NEDFi, it is also
requested to paste photograph of the product just below the respective product data or to attach a photograph
therein, with product reference number written on the same. They are also requested to submit soft copy of
the original photograph separately so that resolution / quality of the photograph can be retained while
cataloguing. May please use a contrast background, to make the product prominent in the photograph.
