Unit 30 - Generating Ideas

Idea 1
The first idea I have regarding the type of magazine I would like to produce is content
that is based on fashion. More specifically different types of clothing and styles people
included in the target audience group are interested in or relate to. The main primary
audience for this type of magazine would be people aged between 16-21 as people in
this age category have a variation of different styles meaning that I would be able to
have a wide range of content (images of models wearing the style of clothing they like
the best). Demographically this magazine would be aimed more at women/girls within
the age range of 16-21 that have a deeper interest for different trends and fashion. The
audience for this magazine would not be restricted to people that identify as having a
specific sexuality or religion. It would be published within the UK but not restricted to
audience members who live in other places. The audience would include individuals
that are students or are in full/part time work. The name of the magazine would most
likely be something such as ‘Trend’ magazine.

Idea 2
The second idea I have regarding another type of magazine I would like to produce is a
magazine which is based around a variety of topics relating to girls/women like beauty,
fashion and celebrities. The primary audience members for this magazine would consist
of girls women aged between 16-35 years old. The magazine would include content that
relates to women of all different ages. Demographically, the primary audience for this
magazine consists of women/girls aged between 16 and 35 years old. The audience
would consist of women that have a wide variety of different interests including topics
like beauty, fashion, celebrities and travel. The magazine would not specifically target
women that identify as a particular sexuality or religion etc. The magazine would be
published in the UK and the content would relate to women in the UK (e.g. brand and
shops specific to the UK). The name of this magazine would be something such as
‘Grace’ which is a synonym for beauty.

Idea 3
The third idea I have regarding another type of magazine I would like to produce is a
travel based magazine with a double page spread primarily based on the city of New
York. Demographically this magazine would target 17-30 year olds who have a keen
interest in travelling and different cities, this age group would most likely consist of both
men and women. The content in the magazine would not target individuals from a
specific country or area as travelling relates to many different people. The magazine
would not target individuals who are a certain race, religion or sexuality. The name of
the magazine would be something such as ‘City’ magazine or ‘Voyage’ magazine.
