Dear Madam / Sir,

I am writing to express my interest in applying for the Bachelor's Degree Program in Computer Science at the
Faculty of Electrical, Electronics, Computer and Control Engineering at the Lodz University of Technology.

First of all, I would like to present some background about myself; My name is Haydar Kardesler. I have been
studying English in Lodz for about 8 months. I successfully completed 2 years of my associate degree in
Computer Programming in Turkey. I have taken many IT classes in college. However, before I started college,
I had been developing software. I started to develop software professionally with the software Specialization
Course Training Program which I took in 2012. I know more than 7 software languages. In the first years, I
developed software for the desktop and the web. I have been developing native mobile applications for Android
and iOS since 2014.

I worked as an Android Developer, iOS Developer, Senior Mobile Application Developer, Research and
Development Employee at many different companies, for example, one of Turkey’s best healthcare software
companies called Fonet Bilgi Teknolojileri Inc. and an advertising company called Yon Medya Ltd. I was also
a Co-Founder and Mobile Application Developer for a company called Istanbul Bildirim from 2015-2016,
which developed news applications. I have developed mobile applications in many different areas; Health,
Communication, In-House Management, News and Remote Control of Automation Systems so far. Within that
period, I had the opportunity to gain experience in this field by working with senior executives and computer
engineers. I have been working as freelance lately.

A machine symbolizes man's rational thinking. On that account a computer is the most ingenious invention of
man. It exemplifies the prowess of human mind to perceive things rationally and put them to use in
performing extremely difficult tasks with effortless ease. With this kind of attitude towards machines I was
introduced to computers about what they can do and how they do it. This was enough for me to decide that I
was going to work with computers all my life. The boundless possibility of trying out and the instant
knowledge of the outcome that stimulates one for further analysis of a rationale in question is what I find most
appealing about Computer Science. Keeping up an inquisitive and explorative attitude, I believe, leads to a
constant learning process. This approach adds to the already immense potential for innovation that exists in
this field. Exploration and analysis have been the essence of my life, guiding me through the most mystifying
predicaments. In this ever changing world of engineering and technology where each new day sees a spate of
new concepts and applications and each passing day makes them obsolete, I always wanted to attain the
highest level of excellence in education and transcend new horizons in the this field. Being one of the
architects of the technologies that will shape the future of mankind and our world is my biggest dream and
goal. I think this program will make an important contribution to the career goals that I have planned for my
future.

I planned to focus especially on Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Big Data and
Image Processing technologies that have great importance for the future. When I researched the work on
Artificial Intelligence and Image Processing at the Lodz University of Technology and I realized these classes
were in the syllabus, I decided starting my undergraduate education at the Lodz University of Technology was
the best option for me. My medium-term goal is to graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science
and then complete my Master's Degree in Management at the Lodz University of Technology. My long-term
goal is to develop useful products and technologies for humanity by carrying out research and development
studies in the IT field.

I would very much like to study at the Lodz University of Technology. This would give me a chance to deepen
my software development knowledge in the inspiring, creative, and cosmopolitan environment of one of the
largest Polish universities. I feel the help and guidance that can be provided to me by the distinguished faculty
of your university will be invaluable. Furthermore, I am confident if I am given the opportunity to study at your
university that attracts some of the best students from all over the world, it will provide an environment
competitive enough to bring out the best in me. I am applying to the Bachelor's Degree Program in Computer
Science at the Faculty of Electrical, Electronics, Computer and Control Engineering at the Lodz University of
Technology consciously with a high motivation. If I can get this academic opportunity, I believe I can contribute
to the research and development activities in the IT sector.

Thank you for considering my request. I look forward to your positive response.
Yours faithfully;
Haydar Kardesler
