How you should use the method:

Kurzgeschichte
Short story

Höre die Kurzgeschichte 2-3 Mal und lese dabei den Text.
Listen to the short story 2-3 times and read the text at the same time.

Sei nicht besorgt, wenn Du nicht alles verstehst, das ist normal, aber nach einiger Zeit wirst Du es.
Don’t worry, if you don’t understand everything that’s normal but after some time you will.

Halte zwischendurch an, wenn es nötig ist.

Pause the mp3.file if necessary.

Mache das solange bis Du alle Wörter, die übersetzt sind, kennst.
Do these until you know all words, which are translated.

Versuche nicht die Wörter auswendig zu lernen – Einfach lesen und zuhören!
Don’t try to memorize the words - Just read and listen.

Wenn Du das meiste des Inhalts verstehst, dann gehe zum Frage-Antwort-Spiel über.
When you understand most of the content, go to the Question and Answer Game.

Das Frage-Antwort-Spiel
The Question and Answer Game

Das Frage-Antwort-Spiel ist der Schlüsselfaktor in der Methode.

The Question and Answer Game is the key factor of the method.

Fragen zu beantworten zwingt Dich in Deutsch zu denken und das ist der Schlüssel.
Answering to questions will make you think in German and this is the key.

Es ist zum Anfang nicht wichtig, ob Du lange oder kurze Antworten gibst.
In the beginning it’s not important if you answer in long or short sentences.

Manchmal reicht es sogar aus, wenn Du nur „Ja“ oder „Nein“ sagst.
Sometimes it’s even enough, if you say “Yes” or “No”.

Wir werden erst einen Satz aus der Geschichte wiederholen und dann eine Frage formulieren.
We’ll first repeat a sentence of the story and then formulate a question.

Da Du den Satz und die Frage gehört hast, kennst Du alle Worte, um die Frage zu beantworten.
As you listened to the sentence and the question, you know all the words to give an answer.

Du musst nur die Wörter in die richtige Reihenfolge bringen.

You just have to put the words in the correct word order.

Aber denk daran:

Am Anfang ist es ok, wenn Du nur kurze Antworten gibst.
But remember:
At first it’s ok, if you just answer in a short way.

Manchmal geben wir mehr als nur eine Antwort, aber mit anderen Worten,
welche aber die gleiche Bedeutung haben.
Sometimes we give more than one answer, but with different words, which have the same meaning.

Über diesen Weg wirst Du ganz intuitiv viele neue Vokabeln und Synonyme lernen.
This way you’ll learn intuitively a lot of new vocabularies and synonyms.

Sei nicht besorgt Fehler zu machen; natürlich wirst Du Fehler machen,

sonst bräuchtest Du diese Lektionen nicht!
Don’t worry about mistakes; of course you will make mistakes,
otherwise you don’t need these lessons!

Und hier ein super Ratschlag:

Sei begeistert, wenn Du die Lektionen machst / Schrei die Antworten

And here is a super advice:

Be excited, when you do the lessons / Yell the answers

Wenn Du in einer guten Stimmung bist, wirst Du nicht nur mehr Spaß haben,
Du wirst auch effektiver lernen.
If you are in a good mood, you won’t only have more fun
but you’ll learn more effectively.

Wir empfehlen: Höre das Frage-Antwort-Spiel mindestens zwei Mal am Tag

für mindestens eine Woche.
We recommend: Listen to the Question and Answer Lesson at least two times daily
for at least one week.

Und dann nach einer Woche wieder zwei Mal.

And after one week again two times.

Von da an, solltest Du die Lektion von Zeit zu Zeit wiederholen (sehr wichtig).
Henceforward, you should repeat the lessons every now and then (very important).

Wiederhole das Frage-Antwort-Spiel so oft Du kannst.

Repeat the Question and Answer Lesson as often as you can.

B. Wie die Methode funktioniert:

How the method works:

Durch die Wiederholung lernst Du die korrekte Satzstellung und die Grammatik mühelos.
By repetition you’ll learn the correct word order and the grammar effortlessly.

Der Wiederholungseffekt:
Durch die Wiederholungen prägen sich die Sätze tief in Dein Gedächtnis ein.
The repetition effect:
Being repeated frequently, the sentences and grammar will stay in your memory.

Nach einiger Zeit und einigen Lektionen wird sich Deine Aussprache wesentlich verbessern.
After some time and some lessons your pronunciation will improve significantly.

Und nach einigen Monaten wirst Du automatisch ohne nachzudenken Deutsch sprechen können.
And after a few months you’ll be able to speak German automatically without thinking.

Du lernst sprechen, wie ein Kind seine Muttersprache lernt, ohne Regeln auswendig zu lernen.
You’ll learn to speak like a child learns its mother tongue without learning grammar rules.

Umso mehr Du hörst und mitmachst, desto besser wirst Du.

The more you listen and take part in it, the better you get.

Wenn Du noch mehr machen möchtest, kannst Du auch mehrere Geschichten täglich hören.
If you want to do more, you can listen to more than one story daily.

In einigen Lektionen-Sets sind noch mehr Dateien zum Beispiel Geschichten in verschiedenen
Zeitformen.
Wiederhole auch diese mehrere Male aber denk dran, die wichtigsten Lektionen sind die
Frage-Antwort-Spiele.
In some lessons sets are more files for example the story in different tenses.
Repeat them also several times but remember, the most important lessons are the
Question and Answer Games.

Bitte immer nur hören oder hören und lesen, aber nie nur den Text lesen ohne zu hören!
Please always listen or listen and read but never read the text without listening!

Ohne Satzzeichen brauchst Du die Sprachmelodie (das ist so gewollt und sehr wichtig).

Beispiel: Du brauchst entweder die Betonung oder die Kommata, um zu entscheiden, ob da zwei
oder drei Personen sind.
Example: You need either the intonation or the commas to decide if there are two or three people.

1. Philipp, mein Bruder, und ich spielen zusammen. (Apposition)

Das sind zwei Personen, denn Philipp ist mein Bruder.

These are two people, because Philipp is my brother

mein Bruder, ist eine nähere Beschreibung von Philipp.

mein Bruder, is a further description of Philipp.

2. Philipp, mein Bruder und ich spielen zusammen. (Aufzählung)

Ohne das zweite Komma, ist es eine Aufzählung von Personen und damit sind es drei Personen.
Without the second comma, it is an enumeration of people and therefore three people.

Ein anderes Beispiel: Es geht um ein Ehepaar.

Another example: There is a couple.

1. Er will sie nicht

2. Er will, sie nicht

Ohne das Komma hat der Satz eine komplett unterschiedliche Bedeutung.
Without the comma the sentence has a complete different meaning.

Der erste Satz bedeutet: Er will seine Frau nicht mehr haben.
The first sentence means: He doesn’t want his wife anymore.

Der zweite Satz bedeutet: Er will etwas, aber sie will das nicht.
The second sentence means: He wants something, but his wife doesn’t want this.

Wir hoffen, diese beiden Beispiele zeigen dir, dass, um die Bedeutung eines Satzes zu verstehen,
es wichtig ist, auf die Zeichensetzung oder genau auf die Betonung zu achten.
We hope, those two examples show you, that in order to understand the meaning of a sentence,
it is very important to look at the punctuation or listen to the intonation carefully.

Da wir uns auf das Sprechen konzentrieren, wollen wir Dich nicht mit Satzzeichen verwirren.
As we focus on speaking, we won’t let you get distracted by punctuation.

C. Wie Du Dich vorbereiten solltest:

How to prepare yourself:

Sei in guter Stimmung und sei entspannt.

Be in a good mood and be relaxed.

Ein guter Weg ist Sport zu treiben, während Du die Lektionen hörst.
A good way is to do sports while you’re listening.

Zum Beispiel:
Stämme Gewichte im Fitnessstudio oder besser noch, geh joggen im Park.
For example:
Lift weights in a gym or even better go running in a park.

Während Du läufst (joggst) bist Du in guter Stimmung, das ist, weil Glückshormone (Endorphine)
produziert werden und Du Dich besser fühlst und energiegeladener bist (kein Witz).
While you are running you are in a good mood, that’s because happiness hormones (endorphins)
are produced so that you feel better and more energetic (no joke).

Du wirst mit mehr Spaß und wesentlich intensiver lernen.

You’ll learn with more fun and more deeply.

Versuch Dir folgende Dinge zu merken und Du wirst lernen wie verrückt.
Try to keep in mind the following things and you’ll learn like crazy.

 Sei motiviert / be motivated

 Sei in guter Stimmung / be in a good mood
 Sei entspannt / be relaxed
 Treibe Sport oder gehe spazieren während Du zuhörst / work out or go for a walk while you are listening
 Sei ein bisschen verrückt und schreie die Antworten / be a little crazy and yell the answers
 Lerne keine Vokabeln auswendig / don’t memorize vocabulary lists
 Lerne keine Grammatikregeln auswendig / don’t memorize grammar rules
