3. SOFTWARE REQUIREMENT SPECIFICATION

3.1 USER CHARACTERISTICS
Users under the system are Admin and User.the user characteristics that are expected
to use the proposed system are:
 The user needs to know English language.
 User needs to know basic of computer.

3.2 SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

3.2.1 Registration
Introduction
This module mainly deals with the customers who are associated with the proposed
system. In this registration of customers takes place by giving their details, assign
color and values for each color. Registration is performed by user. Some security
questions are also asked for recovery.
Inputs
Information of customers, assign values to colors.
Processing
Check each field whether it is valid or not. If it is valid then it is inserted into the
database
Outputs
Registered into the site successfully.

3.2.2 Login
Introduction
Registered user can enter their username and 4 digit password acquired from the
matrix . After the verification of username and password, if it is correct user can
proceed or may be directed to the homepage, otherwise an error message appears and
control is passed back to the login window.
Inputs
User enters the site by using their username and password
Processing
The entered username and password is analyzed to check whether it is a valid. It is
compared with the previously stored details in a database

Outputs
After the verification username and password, if it is correct customer can proceed or
may be directed to the main page, otherwise an error message appears and control is
passed back to the login window.

3.2.3 Recovery
Introduction
If Registered user forget the password then by answering some security question he
can regain his access. If the answer given by the user is incorrect access is denied and
he cannot get his old password.
Inputs
User enters answer to the questions which is asked by system.
Processing
The answer is analyzed to check whether it is a valid. It is compared with the
previously stored details in a database
Outputs
After the verification of the answer, if it is correct customer can proceed or may be
directed to the main page and shows his old password, otherwise an error message
appears and control is passed back to the login window.

3.3 EXTERNAL INTERFACE REQUIREMENTS

User Interfaces

Here the forms acts as the user interface. The user can interact with the system using
graphical user interface.

Login
This module provides a space for specifying userid and password. If the userid and
password are correct then the corresponding customer's page will be displayed.
Registration
This module provides a user to register his/her account. The user specifies his
personal details, Set user name and portions of image for creating password, and
answer some security questions. Then login page is displayed.
Recovery

This module provides some security questions to user who has forgot his/her
password. This module help user to recover his/her password.

3.6 PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS

The s/m must be connected to the server to ensure the performance of the system.
Each customer has user name and password for remote access of the system. Any
number of customer can simultaneously access this s/m. Its response time is also fast.
