2: Current information and fault codes

Window (2) displays the current fault numbers which give the reasons why the truck does not
operate or drives only with reduced power.
These reasons fall into two broad categories:

 A certain combination of input signals, that may also occur in normal operation, will result in
the shutdown or restricted use of the truck. An appropriate number (below 20) is shown in
window (2), however it will not be stored in the fault memory.
 An invalid combination of input signals, which may not occur in normal operation will mostly
result in the shutdown of the truck. An appropriate number (above 20) is shown in window
(2) and will be stored permanently in the fault memory.

3: Fault codes stored since last entry of a

maintenance mark (back slash)

file://C:\Linde_MH\LindeTruckDoctorEn\page.htm 2/19/2009
Linde Display LID32 Page 5 of 44

This window displays each fault stored in the fault memory which has occurred since the last entry
of a maintenance mark (back slash) by a service engineer.
By means of key

Erase

a maintenance mark (back slash) can be entered in the memory in order to arrange the fault codes
chronologically (see window 31).

If the BACKSPACE button is pressed (entering a maintenance mark) when no current fault is
present, all fault codes in window (3) will be erased (no fault since last maintenance mark entry).

Finally window (3) shows a list of the last occurred fault codes, which can be erased at any time by
means of the BACKSPACE button.

The number of times a fault has occurred is shown after the colon next to the fault code.

31: Complete list of stored fault codes

This window shows all error codes stored in the EEPROM. The number of times a fault has occurred
is shown after the colon next to the fault code. The fault codes are arranged following maintenance
intervals. Maintenance intervals are separated by a maintenance mark (back slash).

By means of key

Erase

a maintenance mark (back slash) can be entered in the memory. At the same time fault messages
in window (3) will be erased if at this time no fault is present (no fault since last maintenance mark
entry).

Notes for NSRV:

 NSRV counts down from the preset service interval. If W7/NSWI = 1 then at 0 the Service
Light illuminates. It is always linked to seat hours, independent of setting of OPTH.
 NSRV is reset as described below
 The initial service period is 50.0 hours. When cleared at service the next interval value from
W74/NSWP is written into NSRV.
 The service can be performed early. The meters reset so long as at least 80% of the service
interval has passed. i.e. when NSRV is less than the following values...

Interval Reset Allowed at

50 10 -- Initial service interval
250 50 -.
500 100 | Service intervals

65: Illegal Brake Operations

This window displays how many times the parking/safety brake has been use to stop the truck. The
brake lining has a finite life and using it as a means to bring the truck to a stop is discouraged. The
counters in this window are used to this end. The definition of an Illegal Brake Operation is to apply
the parking brake manually or turn key switch off or operate the isolator whilst travelling at speed.

IBO: The number of Illegal Brake Operations

When this counter exceeds the IBOT value in window 74 (default=20) then the BOOK
indicator will flash slowly but for ever more. To reset this indication, the IBO counter must
be reset by pressing DEL in this window.

2 more counters are displayed in MASTER diagnostics:

file://C:\Linde_MH\LindeTruckDoctorEn\page.htm 2/19/2009
Linde Display LID32 Page 17 of 44

mIBO: The total number of Illegal Brake Operations - not reset able
OBO: The total number of Override Brake Operations - not reset able
These operations are where the control system must apply the brake to stop the truck
because of an error condition. These operations are outside the control of the driver and so
are counted separately.

Total number of operations = mIBO + OBO.

66: Reset Hour meter

In this window the elapsed time indicators of Window 61 can be reset. This window displays the
previous values of the hour meters. The content of this window depends on the OPTH setting in
window 74.
