 POISONED GAS
In April of 1915 the Germans come up
with the idea of poisoned gas. Poisoned
gas was used as the Germans released
mixed chemicals that would quickly
killed people. It revolutionized people
part of this war by killing large masses of
people rapidly.
ZEPPELINS
During the World War the Zeppelin
was first created by the Germans and
the Allies. Zeppelins were used as a
concept of “strategic bombing”. This
revolutionized the war by allowing the
Germans to bring the war into
England’s homeland.
U - B O AT S
The Germans also created the U-boats
or also known as the Unterseeboot. The
U-boat was used to sink ships and
limited to coastal defense, preventing
blockades by enemy ships and serving
lookouts. This advancement was
responsible for the entry of the united
states taking part into the war.
CONVOYS
The original convoy was introduced by
the British in 1917. The convoy system was
a group of ships sailing together for
protection. This strategy changed in
offensive tactics called for a new way to
protect the ships.
A U T O M AT I C M A C H I N E G U N
The Machine gun was first created in
1883 by an American- born Hiram
Maxim’s. The Machine gun was a
weapon incapable of discharging
multiple bullets by simply activating a
trigger. This advancement
revolutionized the warfare by rapidly
killing a large mass of people.
AIRPLANE
The airplane was first created by
the German in the yer 1916. The
airplane was a way for
transportation from one place to
another quickly, but also served as
a bomber escort. This
advancement effected the war
because the German were able to
spy on their enemies.
