Elvis Presley Elvis Presley is known for
and the loving peanut butter and banana

sandwich! sandwiches. Elvis had some major

cravings for peanut butter and
banana sandwiches throughout his
life. Though, his favorite ones were
the ones his mom made. His mom's
famous homemade sandwiches
included, peanut butter, bananas,
and bacon on toasted fool's gold
loaf bread. Elvis’ mother has made
Elvis these sandwiches since he
was a little boy. Many people
believe that in his later years he was
referred to as “chubby” for he had
some major food cravings. Many
doctors note that his early death
could've been, not only from
abusing prescription drugs, but from
his high-calorie cravings. The
Peanut butter and banana sandwich
is now much known for being Elvis’
favorite sandwich, and is sometimes
referred to as “The Elvis”.
Elvis Presley’s Elvis had a twin

Twin! brother that was stillborn.

His name was going to be
Jessie Garon Presley. Elvis
and Jessie were both
supposed to be born on
January 8, 1935, but Elvis
was the only one born.
Jessie has a memorial at
Graceland while Elvis has
his grave at Graceland,
Jessie’s grave is in Tupelo,
Mississippi. The world
wonders what could've
happened if Jessie was the
only one born. Would
Jessie be known as the
king of rock and roll? What
would've happened if they
were both born? Could they
both be famous?
Elvis went to the Elvis Presley went into the
military on March 24, 1958. He was
Military! given the option to go to the military,
or stay because he was so famous.
Elvis took the option of going because
he didn’t think of himself as anything
more than a regular person. Elvis’
mother had passed away on August
14, 1958, while Elvis was in the
military. He had asked for leave to
visit his mother and his wish was
granted. He got to the hospital only a
few days before his mother had
passed. Elvis had gotten extended
leave to go to his mother's funeral and
have a few days of grief. Elvis had
gone back to the military on August
24, 1958. After about 6 years Elvis
had finally gotten back home from the
military on March 23, 1964 after 6
years of service. He had to of course
grow all of his hair back, and get right
back to singing and being the king of
rock and roll. Elvis knew that that was
exactly what his mother would’ve
wanted.
Is Elvis still There is a major controversy
on if Elvis is still alive or not. Many
Alive? believe Elvis died, but others believe
he is still alive. The reason many
people think he is still alive is
because of Elvis’ birth certificate. On
Elvis’ birth certificate it says “Elvis
Aron Presley”, but on his gravestone
at Graceland it says “Elvis Aaron
Presley”. Elvis had always wanted
his middle name to be spelled with
two a’s, so maybe Elvis chose his
gravestone to be spelt with two a’s?
Or maybe, like other fans say, Elvis
may still be alive. There have been
many “Elvis Sightings” throughout
the years, but none have been
confirmed. Don’t you think that if
Elvis was still alive he would have
passed by now anyway? He would
be about 80 and that is still quite a
long life. The controversy will still be
ongoing for many years to come.
 Elvis’ Elvis Presley has one
daughter named Lisa Marie

married to Priscilla Presley for
about 8 years before their
divorce. Within that 8 years
Elvis and Priscilla had Lisa
Marie Presley. Lisa was born
on February 1, 1968. Lisa was
only 9 years old when Elvis

memories of her father. She is
now a singer songwriter just
like her father once was. She is
also the owner of Graceland
because Lisa was the closest
family Elvis had when he
passed. Lisa has been sure to
keep everything in the house
just the way it was when her
father passed. She has even
kept the same pictures, and
picture frames on the walls.
 Even though Elvis has

living celebrities. He is still
money? making $35 million a year to
this day. Elvis receives the
majority of his money from
Graceland from visitors who
want to see his grave. He gets
some of his money from
people playing his songs on
the radio, youtube, or even
buying his albums. Elvis sells
around 1 million albums a year.
There is now more Graceland
attractions like the hotel and
guesthouse, which makes a
ton of money in Elvis’ name.
Most celebrities don’t make
that much and they are still
alive! At the end of Elvis’ life,
right before he died, he was
almost completely broke. He
had some costly bad habits,
divorce issues, and was a bad
spender in general throughout
the years.
 In my opinion Jailhouse
My Opinion on Rock is Elvis’ best song. It is
Elvis’ Best Song! well written and has a nice
beat. Many people believe that
Hound Dog is Elvis’ best song
but Hound Dog doesn’t have a
very good beat, and it just
doesn’t make me feel the need
to want to listen to it like
Jailhouse Rock does.
Jailhouse Rock was also
played in a movie called
Jailhouse Rock which Elvis
starred in, but Hound Dog on
the other hand was not in a
movie. Hound Dog was
released in 1969, while
Jailhouse Rock is older
releasing in 1957 which means
it has had more elders listening
to it nowadays. 60% of people
on a poll voted Jailhouse Rock
as their favorite Elvis song,
while 30% voted Hound Dog
as their favorite. is still a very
good song, but Jailhouse Rock
is just better.
 I interviewed my Grandpa
How Much of an about being an Elvis fan (My

Elvis Fan are Grandpa is still an Elvis fan to

this day). I asked him when he
You? had first started being an Elvis
fan, and he said, “Ever since I
can remember, I remember doing
my chores around the house and
my mom singing Elvis songs
while she was cleaning the
dishes.” I then asked him what
his favorite Elvis song was/is and
he then answered “My Way”. I
had asked him one last question
and his answer was quite
interesting. I asked my Grandpa
if he had to choose between the
Beach Boys (He always talks
about how much he likes them)
and Elvis songs what would he
choose? My Grandpa answered
with, “Well I would have to say
Elvis songs, there are many
different types of Elvis songs but
only a couple different types of
Beach Boys songs.” The
interview with my Grandpa went
great and now I know a little
more on his view of things.
 60% of people voted
Jailhouse Rock as their favorite
Elvis Presley song, while only
30% voted Hound Dog as their
favorite. This goes along with my
editorial on page 8. 5% of people
voted Love Me Tender and the
other 5% voted Heartbreak Hotel.
Jailhouse Rock and Hound Dog
were obviously the most popular
out of the four songs.
