Subject: Rectifications on cracks and leakages of the Zone A- Basement

Waterproofing work has been started in the Zone A Basement area on 26 November 2017. But
contractor raised a RFI 131 dated on 18 May 2017, regarding cracks and leakages in basement slab.
Engineer replied to that RFI via “instruction from Engineer- transmittal 2698” dated on 20 May 2017,
requesting contractor to submit a proposal for treating cracks considering as a variation. But
contractor did not submit any proposal up to now.

Hence contractor started waterproofing works without paying attention to the said engineer
instruction, crack treatment will not possible afterward. Therefore, please clarify the crack treatment
work for the Zone A basement is necessary.
