1.0 Activity and Responsibility:

Activity of Building management system is intended to control the building equipment’s to the
desired areas of the building. The concerned Project Manager is responsible for the job which
will be monitored and supervised for efficient & effective completion by LWBS Engineer.

2.0 Inputs For Activity

a. Drawing & Adequate level instruments / IS codes / Technical specification.


b. Tools & machineries and necessary arrangements.
c. Cables, thermostat, control sensors, bms software and PC.
d. PPE.

3.0 Flow of Activity

a. Install software in control units and operator workstation. Implement all features of
program to specified requirement and appropriate sequence of operation.
b. Connect and configure equipment to achieve sequence of operation specified.
c. Locate the thermostat and other applicable exposed control sensor as per drawing and
room details.
d. Install the devices 48 inches (1220mm) above floor. Install average elements in ducts in
crossing or zigzag pattern.
e. Install guards on thermostats in all specified locations i.e entrance, public areas or were
indicated.
f. Install labels and name plates to identify control components according to
specifications.
g. Install electronic items and fiber optic cables according to the approved drawings and
specifications.
4.0 Monitoring and checking :

a. Check the software in operator’s work station and also check the sequence of
operations are programed correct.
b. Check the equipment configuration connection to achieve the sequence.
c. Verify the location of thermostat and other applicable exposed control sensor as per
drawing and room details also check installation is done properly.
d. Check the label and name plates are done properly.
e. Check all the electronic items and cables are installed properly.
f. When check indicates non conformity, take suitable such as rework to ensure
correction of non-conformity. Post re work a re-inspection is done to confirm
effectiveness of correction.
g. Check all check results are captured in RFWI / IMIR.

5.0 Output of the Activity

a. Properly located sensors, thermostats and cables.


b. Waste pieces of false ceiling, cut pieces of cables removed wrappers from sensors and
thermostats.

6.0 Operational Control

a. PPE
i. Nose Mask (Dust Hazard)
ii. Ear Muff (Noise Hazard)
iii. Safety Shoes (Sharp Edge Hazard)
iv. Safety helmet
v. Safety jacket
vi. Barricading sign / boards

b. Controls for Environment: Proper collection & stacking of Waste pieces of false ceiling,
cut pieces of cables removed wrappers from sensors and thermostat for safe disposal.
