 Six Main Advancements during that Time Period
Poison Gas– Poison Gas was one
of the most feared weapons of
all World War I. It was a poison-
ous gas that was used to kill,
injure, and disable inhalation!
Poison Gas was first used by the
Germans in 1915 on French Col-
onists! Poison Gas revolution-
ized WWI because it was a
quicker way to kill someone and
was more effective!
Zeppelins– Zeppelins were
a type of ridged airship
that was first used by the
Germans. They were used to
bomb British cities, they
caused a lot of damage and
many causalities. Their
significance was that they
were the first time aerial
bombardment.
U-Boats
U– Boats were boats that launched torpe-
does out of them to destroy naval enemies.
The first U-Boat was built in Germany, the
Germans used U-Boats to sink 5,000 ships!
The U-Boat changed the naval industry by
being out sea and still reaching their weap-
ons!
Convoys– Convoys that sailed together for
protection and was used to protect cargo!
The British were the first to use convoys

Automatic
Machine Guns were used to dominate and
personify battlefields. The British were the
first to use these and helped them defeat
their opponents. These Machine guns
revolutionized WWI because they could
defeat enemies faster than any other gun!
Airplanes were used
to help carry goods and
fight off enemy piolets.
The Germans were the first to use Air-
planes and they revolutionized WWI be-
cause they could bomb enemies faster and
more efficiently than a regular bomb!
