1.- The main idea of the text is that the Freehold Regional School District Culinary Arts
Academy provides students with real skills to prepare a career in the culinary arts and hospitality
management industry so they can be the next famous chef, restaurateur or other specialist in food
services of great prestige.
2.- The connections I can make between these texts and others that I have read is that they talk
about the benefits that there are in certain organizations or schools, in this case they are the
benefits that there are about The Culinary Arts Academy of the Regional School District of
Freehold.
3.- The purpose of the author Stuart Thornton is that students register in the academy because the
people who send a request to be accepted will have benefits in the future because if they try hard
and manage to do the three years they take to be graduates of The Academy of Culinary Arts of
the Freehold Regional School District, the benefits they will have are that they will have jobs in
important places for chefs, they will even make different types of food dishes or they will be like
desserts that even some will have advantages to the Promote your products.

to be the manager". Even students who come to work at Five Star Café get to improve their skills

7.- A possible theme for this text could be "To thrive in your goals of being a professional chef,

sections of the text that led me to create this theme are: The author Stuart Thornton first states
that, "Working at Five Star Café provides students with experiences that will allow them to
thrive in the industry after graduation" (Thornton). Secondly, "A graduate developed the creation
of ice cream" Oreo Overload "Cold Stone Creamery" (Thornton).
8.-The way this text helped me to understand the topic addressed in this text is that the topic talks
about the young students who attend The Culinary Arts Academy of the Freehold Regional
School District, so that as soon as they arrive at graduate from school achieve their goals that
were proposed at the beginning of the school year that was to become a professional chef and
even continue beyond their dreams working in professional places and are recognized people and
come to make delicious dishes of which the people who consume them will do it more and more
and this way they will become more famous according to their careers that they come to take.
9.- An element of the text that would change would be that people will not fight for what they
want and do not get to enter or graduate from this academy fulfilling their goals in reality what

students will not make an effort in the school and they will not fulfill their goals.
