CHECKPOINT – MUOGAMARRA RURAL FIRE STATION to CHECKPOINT – CROSSLANDS RESERVE

Section distance: 13.6km Cumulative distance: 29.2km Checkpoint 2 closes at 10:30pm Friday

Trail description:

A challenging section along a single track with a number of steep ascents and descents

before meeting the water’s edge at Berowra Waters. The trail then climbs along Berowra

Creek before descending back to the water, crossing the salt marsh boardwalk and into
Crosslands Reserve via the Calna Creek footbridge.

NOTE:

• During the event, you may experience two-way foot traffic between Calna Creek footbridge and Checkpoint 2.
• Due to limited parking at Checkpoint 2, during the event support crews are asked to arrive no more than 15 minutes prior
to their team’s expected arrival and to depart promptly after their team’s departure.
• Under no circumstances are support crews to park on Somerville Road between the entrance to the Park and the car park

• The gates to Crosslands Reserve are closed nightly from 7:30pm. Check local signage to confirm BEFORE you leave
your vehicles during training walks.

Cross Joe Crafts Creek and climb up the other side of the valley. Once you pass through a rock

Cross a fire trail that is signposted ‘To Turner Road’ and continue to follow

Turn right at the junction of the fire trail with a single file track signposted to Crosslands and

After walking across the salt marsh boardwalk, exercise caution as you cross the Calna Creek

Turn left at the end of the boardwalk and continue on the road towards the checkpoint.
