Bio Sketch

Alexis Barela has attended Parlier High School for all 4 years. She has played various
sports throughout the years such as Volleyball, Cheer, Basketball, and Softball. While
participating in all those programs, she was able to develop skills such as leadership skills,
sportsmanship, teamwork, and athletic skills. She maintained a 3.6 and above GPA throughout
all four years. She is a very outgoing student who constantly ask questions to understand them
more clearly. To get ahead of her A-G requirements, before her 8th-grade year, she took a
computer concepts class where she developed typing skills. Before her freshman year, she was
able to take two classes.
She took math 1 and sam academy, which was an elective. While taking math 1 in
summer school, it gave Alexis the opportunity to take math 2 during the school year. By taking
sam, it taught her basic painting skills, some science that went along with building our own
rocket, about watershed and robotics. The following year she was able to take one class during
the summer. She had taken Spanish 2 and was able to finish her foreign language requirements.
Alexis had always wanted to go to summer school not catch up on any academic class but to get
ahead academically.
